Question:	How do you train an older stubborn dog to use the stairs
Answer:	Lots of treats! I have two dogs that use the stairs. One got it right away with treats and the other one it took a few days. Just use treats to coax and the dog will eventually use them. Hold the treat initially and then put one on a stair where they have to actually reach for it by moving up one step. Eventually you will get the dog to move further and further up. Just be patient. :)

Answer:	My Pitt Mix is 70lbs and there was no problem with her on the steps. They are quite deep and she went up them so fast she was probably on them for 20seconds or less. Then she just jumped onto the couch. They also worked great for my car because ramps didn't work on my sedan. These steps rested on the seat. I did put a small rug under the foot portion because it was on the driveway. I am so happy with these steps. I wish I knew about them sooner. My dog is 10 years old.

Answer:	I haven't seen a new cover offered anywhere. But this one does have a zipper where you can remove it to wash. Probably by the time the cover is thrashed you need a whole new set of stairs anyway.
Question:	why is the brown more expensive than the gray
Answer:	Probably the brown has more requests.
Question:	Does this wobble
Answer:	It does not wobble. It slips a tiny bit on carpet, but is quite stable when backed up to something (bed, couch). I can stand on the far end of one step without it wobbling or tipping over.
Question:	what steps should I buy for a 70 lb lab with a stiff leg
Answer:	These would support a 70 pound animal, but if they have a stiff leg or difficulty stepping / climbing, this may not be the best fit. The steps are rigid, exactly as shown in the picture. My dog has arthritis and at times has trouble making one of the steps (height). There are similar ramps that have “scalloped” steps .. a bit softer, rounded and easier if the animal can’t take a big step up. (Just something to think about moving forward in case the pup has ongoing problems.)

Answer:	I don’t know the weight but do not buy. It is too steepl the material is slick and my yorkie slides backwards. It is poorly made. Comes apart easily and does snug up to anything.

Answer:	I would imagine some training with treats would be involved. Ours hasn't worked for us because our elderly dog prefers to sleep on the ground now. ..she's afraid of heights now. The dog still needs to have strength enough to climb.

Question:	How sturdy is the cup when it flips down and back up for water? Is it flimsy cheap and break? Are the screws in tight and wont come loose
Answer:	The quality of the bottle is excellent, but I can not get the button to work that lets the water flow into the cup. I end up opening the bottle and pouring it out. I can not recommend this bottle. We use it daily and I am totally disgusted with the on and off button. Diana

Answer:	No. I have. 5lb chihuahua and its tight with all of those things in there. Height is good but you would need bigger for 2 dogs.

Answer:	For a month or so...then it will break and wont work for any pet.
Question:	how is the bottom attached
Answer:	It is not detachable. The entire bottom is sewn in place. I've had these pens where the bottom was held on by Velcro tabs and, while a little easier to clean, are not as secure. I prefer this model.

Question:	What kind of metal is used? I need something that won't rust
Answer:	not sure what the metal is but it is heavy duty and sturdy. we use one of our sets of stairs for the car/van and is subjected to rain, sand at the beach etc. it has held up very well in the few months we have used it. the second set of stairs is kept for internal use, getting into beds and onto furniture an hotel visits, etc, mainly to keep it clean. basically we love these and they accommodate an 80 lb german shepherd very well.
Question:	How about strong enough for a 185lb english mastiff
Answer:	It may be strong enough, however, I wouldn't trust it. My dog is about 90 pounds, and he doesn't like the give on it. He goes up it, but doesn't like it.
Question:	Does this come with boards in the steps
Answer:	No, the steps are stretched fabric (canvas i think). However, they are quite stable and don't give much. My dogs are in the 50-60lb range and the steps don't move at all when the dogs are on them.
Question:	Can this carry an xl dog like a great dane? 140 lbs
Answer:	Yes the heavy duty steps will hold a Dane. I have a 130+ lb Dane that uses this although she was a bit timid at first due to it being slightly narrow. But after a few tries it’s now no problem.
