I have kept it on at times when not using - any bulkiness is ok for convenience of not putting on/off again (especially because of the great 4-part safety features: velcro, a loop the belt goes through, sturdy buckle and a little sliding lock on the buckle). If it's in the way, I twist it to the side or my back. It's very well designed with great added features and comfortable, high-quality materials & construction. Happy I paid more for TushBaby rather than going with a less expensive one that didn't seem to be of same quality and features. * I'm very happy with my TushBaby! I'm using it with a ~6 month old that I've recently started watching for three consecutive 10 hour days - I'm 55 years old with a 24 and 20 year old, so my baby holding muscles are a bit out of shape. Answer:	My kid loves it! We go on long hikes all the time and she never complains. I love the straps and there is a lot of padding. The only thing I wish is that they had a place for them to put there feet better than just dangling. But in all a great product. Its a nice comfy ride for her and me. I'm 5'5 and its super comfortable to me. We have completely stop using our stroller. Just load up and go. And it has a lower bag to put stuff in. We went on a 12 mile hike and she had a blast the first weekend we had it. Only stop twice and that was to eat and to sit look at the beauty.
