A polished stainless steel band joins to a durable stainless steel case that's topped by a black, ion-coated, unidirectional coin-edge bezel that is imprinted with white indexes and Arabic numeral minute indicators in increments of 10. Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Automatic Watches



Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.



Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

Answer:	The watch I ended up with is not a 9937 I ordered. After sending similar watches back and forth I gave up and settled for a 9937OB model. This has a crown that screws in/down after setting the time and date. Your screw down crown? is very vague.

Answer:	No. The lock itself works over Bluetooth which has an effective range in a house of perhaps 40 ft. The Augusy Connect connects to the August service via your home wifi and then uses the lock's Bluetooth connection--in short, it's extending the range from ~40 ft to Internet-infinite; in theory, if both you and your house have an Internet connection, you can open the lock from anywhere in the world. If you only care to open the lock when you or someone else authorized is stood in front of it, then the lock alone is enough. That said, I'm on my 3rd August Connect and it's also beginning to misbehave disconnecting at random--don't buy the Connect if the lock alone meets your needs.

Answer:	The August lock by itself opens via blue tooth. Meaning you need to be within 15-30 feet. The connect makes it wifi, but it's buggy at best. The device connects to the lock via Bluetooth, and then you connect to the device via wifi. It works 1% of the time for me. Wait for an update.

Answer:	The lug width is 18mm -- if you get a two-piece nylon watch strap e.g. not a NATO strap it will last longer than the stock rubber strap.
Question:	how far in depth is the water resist
Answer:	I think a previous commenter may be on to something. I've worn this model for decades, and generally each watch has lasted at least half a dozen years. I've worn them swimming in the pool and in the ocean, and diving down to 20 m. Once or twice before, a watch I'd had for many years got some water inside after a prolonged period in the water. My latest F91-W got water inside and portions of the display failed the first time I had it submerged (an hour and a half in a hot tub, underwater more about half the time). So maybe Casio changed something about the materials or manufacturing process that makes it more susceptible to water. Still, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for exposure like kayaking, pouring rain, taking a swim, etc. In any case it's an incredible watch -- super light, very long battery life, useful functions, unobtrusive and unpretentious -- and a new one is just a day or two and a dozen dollars away if you choose to use it in submersion settings and it fails. (I wouldn't press the buttons while it's submerged, though: that's asking for trouble.)

Answer:	Even the counterfeit versions of this are almost $10. Department stores sell Crappy Chinese quartz watches made of pot metal, with designers logos on them, for $200+. Go complain there instead.

Question:	Why is the date not changing? Any solutions
Answer:	The crown of the watch can be pulled two times, one for date and next for time. So, pull the crown gently and rotate the crown in clockwise direction.
Question:	Is t screw down crown and hacking
Answer:	Not a screw down crown, yes it can be hacked. This is not a hand winding movement. The Orient Cal. 48743 Automatic Mov’t only winds through the motion of the watch.
Question:	Is the crystal scratch resistant
Answer:	Mineral glass will be scratched over time. Replacing it with sapphire on this model is not easy as far as I know. Long Island was offering that mod but stopped because the commonly available sapphire will interfere with the hands on this watch. I have had a scratch on my Orient mineral crystal which is deep enough to annoy me. I successfully buffed it out with diamond power polishing paste (use 5, 3, 1um size). Total cost was $15.

A New Generation of Bambino

The 2nd Generation Bambino Version 2 builds upon what the original started. The dial features a light, metallic sunburst that's offset by polished hour markers and dauphine hands. A date window sits at the three o'clock marker, and a track of seconds markers worked its way around the edge of the dial. Most importantly, the Bambino has been upgraded with the F6724 movement which is automatic, hand-winding, and hacking.

Answer:	The package includes both the standard and the large size.
Question:	Any conceivable way i could fit this on a 17mm rolex junior yachtmaster? cant find one to fit anywhere
Answer:	These have quick change fittings so I don’t think trimming them is an option.

Answer:	Our Navy Blue shade is actually the same Pantone color as the navy blue used by the British Royal Navy, which is where the color originated.
Question:	Could you discuss the pros and cons, likes and dislikes of different materials: canvas, silicone, leather, etc.? Thank you
Answer:	Silicone is totally waterproof, mainly used on diver type watches. It's soft and pliable but can feel sweaty because it doesn't breath. Obviously, it's cleanable. Canvas looks very retro and is very comfortable. It does stain but is cleanable. Can get sweat-soaked. Leather is stiffer but flexible when it breaks in. It can be cleaned but will eventually get kind of grungy from I m sweat and body oils. Basically, every material except stainless should be considered temporary, but silicone will usually last a a few years. These bands are much better than average in my opinion.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Automatic Watches



Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.



Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).
