Question:	How do you train an older stubborn dog to use the stairs
Answer:	Lots of treats! I have two dogs that use the stairs. One got it right away with treats and the other one it took a few days. Just use treats to coax and the dog will eventually use them. Hold the treat initially and then put one on a stair where they have to actually reach for it by moving up one step. Eventually you will get the dog to move further and further up. Just be patient. :)

Question:	I have a larger dog, 75 pounds... Anyone know if these can handle a dog that size
Answer:	My Pitt Mix is 70lbs and there was no problem with her on the steps. They are quite deep and she went up them so fast she was probably on them for 20seconds or less. Then she just jumped onto the couch. They also worked great for my car because ramps didn't work on my sedan. These steps rested on the seat. I did put a small rug under the foot portion because it was on the driveway. I am so happy with these steps. I wish I knew about them sooner. My dog is 10 years old.

Answer:	Each step is about 4" high from the floor. Total about 16" with an additional 4" to get on a bed. Perfect for my Maltese. Not too steep, but sometimes, if he's running, it's a bit slippery.

Answer:	When folded, it is 21 1/2 inches wide at the base and 2 1/2-3 inches deep. The measurements are from the feet as they stick out the most. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Just barely 'tap' that little button at the side of the top step. Don't force, just a 'baby-touch' moves it to the folding position. That's all it takes. Then it will fold closed again. Write back if you can't get it. It's easier than it seems! (That little button moves a lever.) Got it yet? :) I hope so. :)

Answer:	Not sure of the type wood but it is very sturdy. I had a picture from my daughter the other day with the granddaughter sitting on the top of it and the little one is well over 30 pounds at 1 1/2 years old. We have been pleased.

Question:	When the 8.5’ ladder is fully extended, how many feet is the last top run from the ground that can safely be used or stood on
Answer:	I have had problems extending and retracting my ladder. I have had to have two people pull the ladder to the full length, then I have to force the rungs on the bottom half together. The bottom collapsible rung bottoms out half way down and will not close at all. I've had this ladder about a year and have had nothing but trouble sorry to say.
Question:	How wide is it front to back and how tall is it closed
Answer:	That depends on how High your roof is and what you weigh. The ladder is sturdy but does have deflection if extended all the way out. It is of OK quality for the money. I use it inside homes mostly for basic maintenance and it is extended usually 10' at a maximum..
Question:	Will leaning ladder against a tall suv damage the vehicle
Answer:	I've used it several times extended only the sections I needed to get the work done, so yes you can do it safely. I do recommend that you inspect ALL the locks carefully to make sure that they in a FULLY LOCKED POSITION. I've had some issues with them not completely locking, and the ones that don't will slide down, so make absolutely sure they are locked.
Question:	On the 8.5 ladder what’s the highest standing point
Answer:	There is the metal on metal sound when extending and collapsing. The locks make a distinct click sound when they lock into place while extending. And if you let the ladder slam while collapsing, even with the rubber stoppers it makes a good noise. Climbing seems to be quiet on mine compared to tradition aluminum extension ladders. I’m sure each ladder is different on the exact “creaks and groans” made. Also, there is Velcro that holds it when it’s collapsed. So, that could be considered loud.

Question:	On the 2 step one, what is the height from floor to top step? I am seeing 2 different answers. (Please and thank you
Answer:	On my step for up to 150, it's 15 and 1/2 inches from floor to back of the top step. On my step unit that is for less heavy animals (I can't remember the actual weight) the height at the back of the top step is 16 inches, exactly. I hope that helps. My little dog loves them both, as do I. I really don't think you can go wrong on either unit. The key is the wider step so they can get on one before the move to the next, at least that's what The Baron, my dog, tells me...by his actions, of course. :) He's seven pounds.

I first purchased the three step because of the height of my bed but they hit their legs on the steps every time so that they avoided them. I am returning those because the steps are too narrow even for small dogs. Now I have the 2 step and those steps are 12” deep so they can get their whole body on them and they are starting to go up and down with far less reminding and encouragement. I put a bench at the foot of the bed which acts as a third step and they seem to be able to see where they are headed easier and climb up and down without slipping or hitting their legs. The three step is just too steep and too narrow on the steps, only 9” deep. The two step 12” deep step makes a huge difference for them Theses steps are solid and do not move or make noise so w think they will be using them on their own very soon.

Answer:	If my dog weighed 140lbs I would want some thing that supports 200lbs. As long as your dog is able to climb the steps with confidence, you should be OK. One of my 90lb dogs doesn't like the stairs. Consequently, every trip up the stairs is a challenge. On the way down the stairs, he jumps off midway down but it has not caused a problem with the stairs themselves.

Answer:	The 5 step will work for a truck or SUV height into vehicle from 30"-40". Measure vehicle from the pavement to where your pet will enter the vehicle such as the cargo floor, seat, truck bed, etc. For instance my truck has a height of 34" so the 5 step works perfect.If your entry is lower than 30" go with a 4 step. The stairs for large dogs hold my 110lb dog,very sturdy.

Answer:	Somebody will choose the 5 step because it will easier for the dog but the disadvantage is it heavier for you. If the dog is not old or hurt the 4 folding stairs for dogs will work fine. For me my dog is 5 and healthy I do not want him to get hurt. If where the pet stair rests is any lower than 30 inches I suggest you choose the 4 step because the 5 step doesn't go down lower than 30 inches.

Answer:	I have owned these steps for years. The company also offers a 4th step extension. That should meet your needs. I have steps with and without the extension and with the extension my pups, big and medium, and smallish, can climb right up on the bed, without they can get on chairs and couches with no problem. I must tell you that while the cover lasts a long time, the company does not offer replacement covers. And if you buy the extension, you will have to buy an extension cover that includes the 4th step. Anyway, my steps have lasted for over 10 years, through many dogs, ours and fosters, and i’ve Just this last two years needed to start patching up the covers here and there, mostly on the corners where the steps meet the cover. They are machine washable and do well in the dryer. If the elastic on the corners starts to go, just replace it with stronger elastic. These steps are definitely value for money.

Answer:	They say they don’t sell it separately, but you can contact the company and they will help you get a replacement. I have also seen custom covers made, so if you want something different than the old cover, try etsy. I’ve seen people selling them on pet groups on facebook as well.
