Answer:	I don't know how thick the pad it. Mine are on top of the pillow that came with the pet bed with two baby blankets over it--one quilt type and one regular baby blanket. The heat goes through those. The dogs sometimes sleep directly on the Snuggle Safe under the blankets or they lay on top of the blankets and feel the heat coming through. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I use these often. I don't know wattage but I put them into my new microwave for five minutes. Let them cool down before reheating.

Answer:	Mine only stayed warm for 2-3 hours and I would reheat it after 2 1/2 hours. It was by no means hot, just warm, but I had no safety issues with reheating it. I ended up returning mine after a week since it didn't work like described.

Answer:	The unit comes with the cover shown. You heat the unit in the microwave according to the directions, then once it's warm, you cover it with the cover provided. We use these for a colony of cats that we rescued, and they work great. We've found that they stay warm for about 8 hours in really cold weather. Outside, we use straw (the same stuff gardeners use as mulch) to cover the unit, and the cats then curl up on top of the straw and the unit underneath that. It's wonderful, and the cats seem to love it.

Question:	I have a 12 lbs Boston Terrier, will this be a good bed
Answer:	Yes he’ll be able to fit in the bed, he may feel a bit snug in it because I have a 13lb Shih tzu & he can fit but it’s made more better & comfortable for smaller dogs like 10lbs or less. I know that because my other Shih tzu is smaller than my other pup & weighs 10lbs, & it fits perfectly for him. But it’s super comfortable & I’m sure all dogs would love it regardless.

We currently do not have any steps that are 30" tall in height. Our tallest steps (4-Step) is 22.5" in height with a length of 28". Answer:	I ordered the size small which was supposed to be 23 x 23 and it actually measures 26 x 26. The lower inner circle measures 15 x 15. I like the bed but it’s really too big for my 10 pound dog.

Answer:	All the answers are no, but to clarify only the smallest bed doesn’t have a removable cover. I own both the small and 30”x30” bed. I just tossed it’s cover into the washer. I did not put the inserts in the washer.

Answer:	I don't own this bed, but my dog is a digger/nester too. I've found that if I put a loose blanket in whatever bed she's using, she will dig and arrange the blanket rather than tear up the bed. This has been THE solution for me with her digging and nesting in her beds. She likes the cozy fleece ones. So I wonder if you got your dog this bed and also put a loose little blanket with it, like a cheap 50x60 throw, that might keep any tearing from happening, and those who own it say it's not looped fabric to get nails caught in.

Answer:	Have it on the floor. Soft but not firm. Also have one in solid plastic crate and it works very nice. Very pleased with them.

Answer:	There is a different material on the bottom to help keep the bed in place. It is not as plush as I wanted it to be.
Question:	Is there a cover that comes off easily to wash
Answer:	Do the non skid dots come off in the washer? I have bought several kennel bedding and the darn dots come off. I wash on delicate cycle and cold water.

Answer:	Hi there. I have a 40 lb Border Collie and she has a medium. It’s got a little room to spare so I’d think it will work for your fur baby!

Answer:	I would say no. First of all it’s round so it would be squished in and it’s about 29” if I measure side to side (remember it’s round so side to side is approx). I wouldn’t use this in a crate.
