Answer:	Absolutely! My dog who is an American Eskimo Dog/Retriever mix loves it on top of her dog bed. It keeps it cooler than without it and she usually lays on the floor because she’s hot. We live in the south. But she does get a few moments of cushion time until she heats it up. She would stay outside in the winter if it were up to her. She is a Queenie.

Answer:	It is not an inflatable pad. It is just a cushioned pad so it folds up and there is an elastic strap that holds it together when not in use.

Answer:	I don’t see why not but honestly it gets warm just like anything else. The only difference I see that when your pet is on there long enough and it gets warm, if he gets up, it gets cool pretty fast as supposed to a regular blanket. This thing is NOT anything special

Answer:	I don't think there is a difference. I looked at both and didn't see anything different. Go with the less expensive one.
