I don’t recommend getting a small unless your pet’s chest/bust measures 13” or less because the chart shows a circumstance of 14.2” but that is the actual measurement for the shirt itself. Answer:	In buying clothes for dogs, I've learned that you HAVE to measure your dog. Look at the chart in the pics at top of pg, and measure all those areas. The chart tells you which size per those measurements. Most important are the chest & neck. (You can always hem or cut off, if it's too long.) My dog has deep chest (not broad, but deep), similar to a small greyhound. I have to buy clothes to fit her chest, tho they will hang off her tiny waist & always be too long. That's ok. They're fine, if they fit the chest.

Answer:	I think a small my dog weighed 35 lbs and I had to take it in I needed the back to be long because we needed to cover stitches from a surgery

Answer:	I'm really not sure. I have Chiweenie that weighs 19/20 lbs. and I got him a Large. Fits perfectly!! I would think a fluffy dog around 21 lb should probably use a XL.

Answer:	I would think the L will fit better but then again it all depends on the build of your cat. To be more accurate please measure your cat's neck and chest on the broadest part and get back to us with that information.

Answer:	I have this exact shirt in a 2XL that just fits my 17 lb poodle. It would never fit my 45 lb poodle. It is all cotton so there is no stretch and it did shrink a little. Please consider the shape of your dog as well as how much fur it has. Mine are closely clipped. That said, these are the best little shirts we have ever purchased. They are high quality, very soft and worth the price.
