Question:	Has anyone tried using this with pine/cedar/walnut pellets? The pellets would need to stay in the top pan and the sawdust fall through
Answer:	The holes are too big to use pellet litter. The pellets fall through. You need the holes to be smaller so that the "sawdust" (pellets broken down from pee) falls through the holes to be dumped out, so you can save the whole pellets and put them back in the litter pan to be used.
Question:	Can this be used with non-clumping pine litter
Answer:	Yes, it can. I prefer it to the litter box meant for feline pine litter. You use this one differently, however. The litter is used in a solid bottom pan. I scoop the poop regularly and shake the pan to make the saw dust go to the bottom of that pan. After about a week, I empty the litter into the shifting pan and shakes the sawdust through to into the second pan. Toss out the saw dust and pour the remaining pine litter back into the original pan. It is fast and easy. The pans are easy to wipe clean.
Question:	How much litter do you add? How do I get the sifter back under the litter after emptying it
Answer:	Usually 3-4 inches of litter will suffice. Step 1.Lift the sifting tray and shake from side to side. clean litter will fall through sifting tray into bottom pan. Step 2.Clumped litter will remain on top of sifting tray. Discard clumps in a trash receptacle and then clean the tray. Step 3. Reassemble litter pan using empty bottom pan. Step 4. Pour sifted litter from original pan onto sifting tray. Add more clean litter if needed. Clean original pan and place under assembled litter pan for storage.
Question:	Anyone find a hood or method for keeping the cats from kicking litter out? I love the sifting but now I have to deal with litter outside the box
Answer:	I upcycle those wonderful Amazon boxes. Since my cats love those boxes anyway, I set one on it's side and slide the litter box into the open box. That way, I have sides and a top and the litter stays in the box. It also keeps mine from scratching walls near their litter box - mine love scratching cardboard. When I empty the litter box, I pour the spilled litter back into the clean box. By the way, the Amazon boxes are sturdy enough to spray paint if you need to color coordinate. The best thing is that if they destroy the covering box, I know I will have another Amazon delivery coming!

Answer:	I am not a vet but I will share what I believe to be accurate. Our vet prescribed this because our dog, weighing 80 lbs, had Giardia in her stool sample. She was prescribed two packets (40 lbs doses) a day for three days, along with 1 1/2 tablets of an antibiotic called Metronidazole 500 mgs, twice a day, for 7 days. We are also supposed to clean up any stool in her yard because our vet said that all she has to do is get it on her paws and then lick her paws to become reinfected. After this routine her stool will be rechecked. So, how long? If the environment is cleaned up, and your dog's stool sample comes back clean the second time, I'd say you're good to go. If not I'm guessing you'll have to go through it all over again, immediately.
Question:	it sifts great but how do you get the pan back into a little box filled with litter
Answer:	I have used it and it is a 3 day treatment -- as far as I know it has 3 pouches 4 grams each for treating a 40 pound dog.

Question:	Is this littler box a good size for a two cat home
Answer:	We have two cats and got two of these litter boxes and the do both #1 and #2 in both! We did get the extra large boxes because one of our cats is huge, weighs 30lbs and he's not overweight at all, he's just a very large cat. We have a female cat that is smaller than most and she only weighs @ 8lbs. Neither of them like the doors but they were easy enough to remove. I would never have made them use only one litter box, but as it turns out they share them both. We change both boxes twice a week. When I ordered these two cat boxes I thought I was ordering the ones that are identical in looks from the outside but were regular cat boxes with no sifters, so we were surprised when these came with the sifters and extra bottoms. We are going to try them to see if we like them better and if the sifter is a big help, if not we will just use one of the blue bottoms until it needs to be tossed and use the other blue bottom. I'm really hoping the sifter is a "help" and not a "hindrance".

Answer:	You are correct. Two solid bottom pans, 1 sifting pan, 1 lid with removable swinging cover. (Always keep the sifting pan in the middle of the other two pans to keep it from getting gross.)

Answer:	I use the pine pellets (arm and hammer) some do through the sifter, but overall they work. I have a scoop that I can go through the sawdust and recollection anything that’s fallen through. It’s usually good to have some fall through though, soaks up the urine

Answer:	Yes - I use feline pine and use this type of litter box. I would never use this with clumping litter, as it makes a huge mess and scooping is much easier. With Feline Pine, once the pellets create 'sawdust', you can sift that away into the box before tossing it into the garbage. What you're left with it all the good pellets that can be reused.

Answer:	It came with a top piece that is "supposed" to keep the litter in the box. No success with that.
Question:	What brand of clumping litter works best
Answer:	We have found that some clumping litters perform much better than others. Our users have reported great results with World's Best Cat Litter, Tidy Cat 24/7 Performance (full weight version) and Silica based litters like PrettyLitter.
Question:	so.... when you rotate the bins the top one moves to the bottom. So a dirty litter pan will sit on my floor
Answer:	After we sift, we wipe the tray with a damp paper towel and then dry it with a dry paper towel. Maybe it's the type of litter we use, but there isn't a problem with it being dirty. We do use a litter box mater under the box, so it doesn't sit directly on the floor.

Answer:	Not sure what a top entry litter box is. They are liners meant for the base where you put the litter.
Question:	How can these possibly fit all litter boxes, if they are only 18 inches in one direction
Answer:	The liners are "36" inches X 18 inches. We have a big cat box and they work just fine...I bought the Petphabet Litter Box with Lid - Jumbo Hooded Kitty Litter Pan - Holds Up to Two Small Cats Simultaneously from Amazon... Dimension when assembled high side litter box is 24.8"L x 20"W x 16.5"H. Door opening size 8.2 X 7.8 inches. Take a look at it and you can see how big a cat box we're using them on. These are great because the sift...not as much waste.
Question:	How do these work? Do you put several in an empty box, add litter and then remove them one by one
Answer:	Yes, they come nested...put them all in at once and as you said add litter. I change the liner once a week (scope in between). After 5 weeks you can dump all the litter or not and start all over. These were the best technique for me. Your assessment was correct.

Answer:	As far as I can tell, although when you have your head close to the litter box, it’s not the liners you smell. I use Arm & Hammer litter powder deodorant sprinkled in the litter to help the smell!

Answer:	Depends on the style of box...These liners are fairly large and would fit over my extra large pan BUT the pan does not have a top.

Then when the box starts to get dirty you lift the first layer of the liners up and the clean litter will sift thru. Best to use clumping litter, that’s what you lift out with the liner. You put more clean litter in as you go because there’s 10 layers of plastic and you keep removing the dirty litter as you remove a sifting layer.

Answer:	It's been so long since I ordered mine and I didn't like them but I can't really remember however I'm pretty sure they just sent a rubber band no elastic built in

Question:	Can "crystal" cat litter be used? I've never understood if crystals are considered to be clumping litter, but it's all we've ever used. This seems like a great litter box, but I'd hate to switch our 15-year old kitty to a completely different kind of litter
Answer:	Yes, I use Petco’s SoPhresh Odor Lock crystal litter in this box and it works really well as long as I don’t try to sift the box right after my cats have peed in it— you need to give the litter a little time to absorb it. It’s nice not having to dislodge clumping litter from the sifting grate like I did when I used clumping clay. I have two cats and find I need to change out the litter every two weeks.
Question:	Can i know how big is it? If it will fit a Maine Coon
Answer:	I had a small cat and she didn't have much room to turn and dig. She tended to potty on the edges of the box making it much harder to deal with. I think a Maine Coon might not have any space at all and that beautiful fur would get messed up.

Answer:	I use standard 13 gallon kitchen trash bags in the bottom drawer and no linertia in the top at all. Of course I also use small crystal litter which doesn't stick to the plastic as bad as clumping would (if you do this, you'll want to add a strip of duckt tape along the front edge of the part that faces downward when you raise the handle--that is designed to allow some litter to drop down into the bottom tray to help with odor control, but with fine grains, you loose A LOT of litter unless you tape it). Best labor saver I've ever had though, and I've tried all the robotic boxes except the genie and the litter robot.

Answer:	The top part can be extended, they are making taller sides for this who need it. Ask the seller, they have wonderful customer service. My cat likes to scratch and the taller sides work.

Answer:	It depends on your tolerance and your cat's tolerance. How often do you currently have to scoop the litter box? My cats have a pretty high tolerance for litterbox funk, so I sift it out twice a week. I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes at the moment. I should probably sift 3 times a week, but we're a busy family and I don't always get to it. I plan on buying another speedysift box soon. I really think they are much better than regular litterboxes.

Answer:	I have three cats using this box. I haven't run into any problems with it sticking. Sometimes if they have a lot of poop but not enough to completely bsift and change liners, I just scoop it out.

Answer:	I’ve had no problems with it. We do keep a scoop nearby to use when spreading new litter in the box so maybe that would help.
