Answer:	I have owned this litter box for over 6 months and I have NEVER used bag liners. Personally, i think bag liners just get scratched up and do more harm than good. So yes, you can. However, the purpose of bag liners is to keep the litter sanitary and clean - I would definitely be sure to clean the litter often so feces don't stick to the bottom or anything like that. - Heather

Answer:	At first I tried to fold the plastic liner over the edge of the lower half. It would not fit. I tried just bringing the bag up to the edge. I secured it with a few small pieces of tape. When the dome is placed on top it traps the edge of the bag holding it in place. I just need to learn where to purchase more bags. Will start at the website. Good luck!

Answer:	We have chihuahuas (5, 6 and 9 lbs). The oldest 9 lb doesn't even try to go in but the other two can zip in and out of there as if it was made for them. They don't move the lid or anything; they are smaller then the cat. But they will try to drag kitty litter and then some out of it frequently. No problems for me though as they do the same and worse with litter boxes uncovered or with a normal box cover.

Answer:	I’ve had littermaid boxes since the 1990s and have used many brands of litter. My current favorite is Arm&Hammer clump and seal Slide. This litter clumps well and is less prone to sticking to the bottom of the box and seems to track a bit less than other boxes. Also keeps smell under control as well as fresh step which was my second favorite when litter is changed every 7 days for 1 cat.

Answer:	I have 2 older model litter maid. A single cat and a multi cat. The ones that are taupe colored. I'm down to just the single cat box now as I tried using crystal litter in the multi box and it killed it. Wish I could get that model again as from what I've been reading about the new 3.2 it eventually turns into a manual box. It also says that it only cleans after 20 minutes after the cat does it's business. I can't imagine your cat's poop smell is different than mine but the model I have cleans 5 minutes after the cats done and even then I can smell it until it's contained. I'm still researching the other options for less than $$$. Don't like the cardboard tray of one type but just found out that you can buy a permanent tray vs having to replace it and making more unrecyclable trash. And it also has a 5-10-15 minute timer. The litter robot is quite expensive so I'm going to try the scoop free. But if they still had the version I have I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

He has been losing about 1/2 pound every month on this diet. I feed him low carb/ high protein wet cat food. My vet also recommended food with gravies, they tend to be lower in calories. This is NOT a guide or a recommendation. This is just the plan I worked out with my vet.

Answer:	I recently bought the Jumbo size. Using a tape measure, the interior dimensions I got at the very BASE (floor) of the pan are approx. 16"L × 15.5"W. There are semi-rounded corners at the base, which I did not include in my measurements. The pan flares out a bit from bottom to top, so the interior dimensions I got for the upper portion of the litter pan (not including the hooded cover) are approx. 21"L × 18"W. The height of the pan (not including the hooded cover) is approx. 6.5" at the front end & 11" at the back end. I apologize if my measurements aren't precisely accurate, but it's a bit difficult to take exact measurements due to curved corners, tapered side walls, etc. Hope this helps a little, though. I do love this litter box and so do my "twin" 1-yr-old tabby boys, who already weigh 16 lbs each...Yikes! Now that I have a great litter box they both like, the bigger challenge is finding a low-cal. food they'll actually eat...no luck so far. Answer:	The plastic ramp has little hooks on either side that hang on a rod by the waist receptacle. I would use a Dremel to make a hole in the ramp and use a paperclip to go around the rod. Better yet contact the manufacture and get a replacement for the ramp. The ramp has notches to hold the cover for the waste receptacle when cleaning and falls back in place to close and cover the waste when done so the ramp seems important for the design. Answer:	There's a citrus-like scent to it that isn't overpowering at all. It does a nice job, and seems to last longer than just baking soda.

Easy set up & maintenance

1. With the drawer side facing you, place the grated tray on the base, so the grate is directly above the drawer. NOTE: The system is built to funnel urine to the grate, so it's important to align the grate above the drawer

2. Place the sidewall on top of the base, with the opening facing you (it sits to the left of the drawer). Hang the scoop on the sidewall wherever you prefer

3. Pull out the drawer, insert one cat pad (soft side up), and close

4. Fill the top portion of the box with 7lbs of litter pellets (use both 3.5lb bags included)

5. Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. NOTE: Pellets do not clump and waste won't be completely buried

6. Add more pellets as needed. We recommend that you replace the pellets completely once a month

7. Slide drawer out to check and replace pad. Drawer can be rotated to extend pad life

8. Drawer can be pulled out completely to easily toss the used pad without touching it. Once empty, put a fresh pad into the drawer and re-insert into the base.

Answer:	Yes! I spray painted it with Rustoleum's professional spray paint in Antique Bronze (or maybe it was Oil Rubbed Bronze?), its metallic-looking and beautiful now! No primer or samding needed.

Answer:	Petmate Booda Dome Pearl Litter Box, White...Item# 290202. The 19" bottom part fits "purr-fectly" in the bottom of the Good Pet Stuff Hidden Litter. It seems to be cheaper than the 3 gallon "other" pan.
Question:	what are the exact dimensions and circumference of the base without the plant
Answer:	It is 64 inches in circumference, 19 inches in diameter and 20 inches tall without the plant. This hidden litter box is probably the largest on the market, just what we needed, since our largest cat is very tall and weighs in at 18 pounds.

Answer:	The black corner pieces are used to only protect the pan during shipping. They are to be removed and disposed of. We are trying to make the best buying experience by protecting the pan during shipping.

Answer:	I purchased 8 steam pans for my four cats several years ago for less than half the price. I only wish that I'd thought of it years ago. While this is nice because it has rounded edges, it's SO much more expensive than the steam pans. Wow, $50 for a cat pan vs. $20 for a steam pan here at Amazon. Either way, I would never, ever go back to plastic pans again.
Question:	I love that i found a stainless steel litter box, however is this box big enough for a 17 pound ragdoll and a 10 pound himalayan? thank you
Answer:	Just a response to those that say at least 1 litter box per cat. We had a cat rescue for nearly 20 years, at one point with as many as 12 (ferals included) residing indoors. There were never more than 5 boxes (cleaned daily) available for them. In order to see if more were needed, I'd use a UV (black light) flashlight to look for spray spots. Oddly enough, after almost 20 years, I found that none of the kids went around spraying! To sum it up, in my experience, have two boxes for two cats. If you begin to have more than that I would suggest no more than 50% box to cat ratio, with the emphasis on keeping the boxes policed.

Answer:	The top part can be extended, they are making taller sides for this who need it. Ask the seller, they have wonderful customer service. My cat likes to scratch and the taller sides work.

Answer:	It depends on your tolerance and your cat's tolerance. How often do you currently have to scoop the litter box? My cats have a pretty high tolerance for litterbox funk, so I sift it out twice a week. I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes at the moment. I should probably sift 3 times a week, but we're a busy family and I don't always get to it. I plan on buying another speedysift box soon. I really think they are much better than regular litterboxes.

Answer:	I have three cats using this box. I haven't run into any problems with it sticking. Sometimes if they have a lot of poop but not enough to completely bsift and change liners, I just scoop it out.
