2 best pet grooming gloves
Pet grooming gloves are innovative tools designed to make the grooming process easier and more enjoyable for both pet owners and their cats. These gloves are typically used for grooming cats, but they can also be suitable for dogs and other furry pets. Here's what you need to know about them:
Design: Pet grooming gloves are designed to look like regular gloves but with one key difference – they have soft rubber or silicone bristles on the palm and fingers. These bristles serve as a gentle yet effective way to remove loose fur, dirt, and debris from your pet's coat.
Benefits:
- Efficient Grooming: The soft bristles on the gloves allow you to gently brush through your cat's fur, capturing loose hair. This can help reduce shedding and prevent matting, especially in long-haired breeds.
- Bonding Time: Grooming your cat with these gloves can be a bonding experience. Many cats find the gentle massage-like sensation of the bristles soothing and enjoyable.
- Easy Cleanup: Unlike traditional brushes, pet grooming gloves are easy to clean. You can simply peel off the collected fur or rinse the gloves under running water.
Versatility: Pet grooming gloves are versatile and can be used for various grooming tasks, including deshedding, detangling, and massaging. They are suitable for use on different coat types and can be used on dry or wet fur.
Comfort and Safety: These gloves are typically designed with the comfort of both the pet and the owner in mind. The bristles are gentle on the pet's skin, and the gloves are usually adjustable to fit different hand sizes. This minimizes the risk of scratching or injuring your pet during grooming.
Ease of Use: Using pet grooming gloves is straightforward. Simply put on the gloves and pet your cat as you would with your bare hands. The bristles will capture loose fur, leaving your cat's coat looking neater and healthier.
Maintenance: After grooming, you can easily remove the collected fur from the gloves. Many grooming gloves are also machine washable for convenience.
Overall, pet grooming gloves are a practical and pet-friendly grooming tool for cat owners. They provide a gentle and effective way to maintain your cat's coat while offering a bonding experience between you and your furry friend.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the best tool to use to clean hair off of the brush? A comb can't run thru the thick bristles & running it under water will clog the drain |
Answer: | This doesn't cut my Husky's hair. It just removes already falling/shedding hair. |
Question: | are the "bristles" soft enough to use on a maltipoo who does not shed (but attacks brushes...)? he loves being petted, though, and his skin is itchy |
Answer: | It works well with my goldenboodle. It will take awhile for the first brushing but then if you just a little bit every couple of days for maintenance it's more great. |
Question: | How well do they work |
Answer: | Yes. the bristles retract all the way so that the brush is easy to clean. |
Question: | A few months ago I bought a pair of gloves from here, they work very well. What are the differences in the old and new versions |
Answer: | No but it cleans out of the brush very easy, best brush I've ever used on my dogs. |
User questions & answers
Question: | What is the length from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger on the l and xl. size chart says i should get a large but i have longer fingers |
Answer: | Yes, the gel and the foam give your hands support for heavy bag work. The wrist closure is very secure so wrists stay neutral to avoid wrist strain. |
Question: | How do these compare to the furminator deshedding tool |
Answer: | my 6yo grandson takes kick boxing with UFC gym. I bought their brand because it has a life time warranty. I wanted a less expensive backup pair for when he spends the night and his gloves are at his house. They told me not to get the 4 oz for him. their exact words was " don't follow the children's guidelines. they recommended 8-10oz. the coaches and owner said the 8 and 10 will protect his hands better. there is very little to no protection with the 4oz gloves. I was also told the 8-10oz would also last longer than the 4oz. one coach said the higher the better. so I mentioned they have a 12,14 and 16oz.... all 3 coaches and the owner said NOOOOOOO at the same time. those are way to big!! he meant compared with the 4oz. I saw another brand, Sanabul and looked into the colors and sizes. they had a section on buying for children. it said 8-10oz is recommended. Right now I am going back and forth trying to decide which one of the two I should buy. I already have the Sanabul MMA punching mitt and I like both the Elite and the Sanabul gloves so which do I buy????? I do know which ever it is, it will be 10oz. I hope this helps and I apologize for the excess verbiage. But I thought the info was important. Your situation is a 4yo; perhaps 6 or 8oz would suffice. |
Question: | I have a size 8 hand in most gloves (as a female) and i'm worried about the size medium being too tight. how is the sizing on these? should i size up |
Answer: | Yes, you can choose small size like 6oz or 8oz |
Question: | Will this work on a poodle |
Answer: | These run big. Choose one size smaller than what you would guess. |
