Answer:	i had the same problem. I wrapped the base of the cane in clear packing tape and pressed the base back on... not ideal but it was broken pretty quick

Answer:	While you should not use this as the only way to get up and out of bed, I find this tremendously helpful to help me make the swing from sitting position to putting my feet onto the floor in the morning. I can then support myself to put on slippers and stand long enough to get balance and not pass out before going on to the bathroom. I have it wedged between the bed with the feet tucked under side cabinet. I was resistant to get a quad cane, now I wonder why I waited so long!

Answer:	We had no problem on carpet, but I would say that if it is REALLY thick pile, it could be. Not sure if that helps or not. We were happy to have this around when we needed it.

Answer:	If what you mean by pivot is the base having ability to allow the cane to move front to back or side to side, while the base remains in complete contact with the ground, the answer is no.

Answer:	You're right. The strap and the shock cord are both very short. You can try taping a piece of Velcro tape/strap with gorilla tape on one of the section closest to the handle and use the Velcro to hold the folded sections together. I don't have this cane but I use a white cane for seeing and this is what I did to hold the folded sections of my cane together. Hope this helps you.

Question:	What height should it be
Answer:	I don't now that anyone can truly answer that but the user, but here's what I do:I relax my arm, then bend it slightly...just a little....and that's where the handle should be: right at that height next to my body. You want to be able to lean on it as you and the walk through each step you take. When you walk, it should be able to support you throughout the step. If you feel you're having to bend to reach it or, conversely, if your arm is TOO bent when the cane is vertical -- at the point of its motion when it is right beside you -- then you will not gain the benefit of the cane.
Question:	I heard that this was an excellent product and can support users up to 350 pounds. Is this correct

Question:	I have arthritis and vertigo, I currently use a quad-foot cane. Is this cane stable enough to stay put when I need to stop and wait out the vertigo
Answer:	I have had mine for over a year and it's still in excellent. I have severe nerve damage to the right side of my face and ear. My Doctor told me either a cane or my next fall was going to result in having a rod put in my leg. I have stood in stand still lines for quite a long time and my Hurry Cane has not failed me yet. If it does fall over all you have to do it take your foot and step on the bottom of it and it bounces right back up. Only you can decide what is best for you. My mother has both a quad and a Hurry Cane. She is constantly tripping over her quad. I find that to me far more dangerous than the tri. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it come with the wrist strap/travel bag/travel clips
Answer:	The travel bag is a cheap nylon bag that secures with velcro. If you have to adjust the cane up from the shortest position, it becomes too long and sticks out of the bag by several inches. Also, the wrist strap elastic band that holds it to the cane was over stretched by the packing process making the ring too big and it slides down the cane. Both "extras" are useless as is the cane itself (see my review).

Answer:	No, it will not. I bought it because it folds and I can take it with me in my handbag. But using a quad cane for years, this did not do it for me. However, I did buy from amazon, a tripod tip which I swapped for the rubber cap at the bottom of the cane and that gave me more stability. Answer:	You will need at least a rubber band. I use a velcro strap to keep it together when folded. It does come with a case, but I think its too much hassel to put the cane in the case.

Answer:	Try re-tightening the band where you adjust the height. That has always stopped the clicking sound for me until the cane gets too worn.

Answer:	Contact the company or look on their website for canes that can support that much weight. It is possible that collapsible canes cannot. This one is definitely made for heavier people. Check with the doctor, too. A quad cane, which has 4 legs, with a large base is probably more stable for a 500-lb. person of they will be using a cane for any purpose including balance. A plus is that a quad cane stands up by itself and saved the person from having to lean over and pick it up if it falls easily like regular canes do. Hope this helps!
Question:	Can one get an extra foot when purchasing this cane and if so at what price
Answer:	There is a strong cord which runs through the hollow metal of the cane staff, which is actually in four separate sections which fit together, one inside the top of the other. They pull apart and each section can be turned up with the cord running between. In my mind, you can fold a bath towel but this cane is more what I consider collapsible. Very portable and great for travel.

Answer:	The handle is too hard for me, I wrapped it in bicycle handle grip tape.
