Answer:	They are essentially the same thing. Both are made by the same company, have the same capacity, use the same filters, etc. The difference between the two is the shape, so which one is best is really a personal preference. As I have mine located along a wall in the kitchen I thought the Pagoda was a better choice for me and would take less space.I don't own the Avalon, but I would presume that it would be slightly easier to clean than the Pagoda as it would not have corners to deal with. That said, I have not had any real issues cleaning the Pagoda so...I think these ceramic fountains are great, especially compared to the plastic units that are available. My only real gripes with them are: 1) The filters need to be changed at least every 3 weeks and don't have as much charcoal in them as some other units I have owned. Be prepared to be buying supplies on a regular basis with either choice; 2) there is a plastic "nipple" inside that keeps water out of the power supply stem (located inside the tower) and mine ripped early on in ownership and I have not found replacements available online. I have been successfully using duct tape to seal the stem since.

Then when I get through dumping it into the bowl, I flick the container several times with my index finger, to get all the juices out. Answer:	Just chiming in here as my Siberian is currently spending the weekend at the ER vet to treat a urinary blockage. We've only ever fed him a can of wet food (Weruva) in the morning and 1/3C of this in the evening. So IDK about the pH, but we won't be buying this food anymore as he'll need a prescription food for urinary health.

Answer:	My Vet’s recommendation (09.21.20) was to feed my overweight 3 yr old boy of 14.5 lbs; 1/4 c. hard food (Purina Proplan Weight Management or Hill’s Science Diet Perfect Weight) in the morning & a weight management wet can in the evening to get his weight down to 11-11.5. Boys need wet food to help them with their digestive system.
