Answer:	yes. the sliding doors in on the inside and has a latch to hold it down. You must press the latch and pull up to lease door

Answer:	The total height is right at 13.5" and that is because it angles up and down slightly from the opening. We have had ours for about two months now and we love it for our two cats, it is a life saver!

Answer:	It can slide down on either the inside or the outside! I've thought of getting an additional slide piece to more effectively block door off.

Answer:	The door panel fits on both the inside and the outside. If you put it on the inside of the house, then it can NOT be removed because it clicks into place and to remove it you have to take your thumb and fore-finger and squeeze the latch release in order to release the latch lock and to raise the door. Ideally for super weather protection I am going to buy another door for the outside so for SEVERE WEATHER AND SUPER HIGH TORNADO WINDS - I can have a door on both sides - the outside and the inside - even if the outside can be removed. (I live in Tornado Alley) P.S. Even in 30 mph winds so far - neither of the door flaps have come open and or leaked. I LOVE THIS DOGGIE DOOR AND I HAVE THE SUPER HUGE ONE FOR MY 180 LB ENGLISH MASTIFF - SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW BIG THE DOOR OPENING IS!! Answer:	Hi Donna - There is four and one half inches from the floor to the bottom of the flap. We were worried about that, too, since we have two Chihuahuas along with an Italian Greyhound mix and now our new rescue, Belgian Malinois (will be very big). There was NO problem at all! We put the door in and they all went through it! It's a great door. We are very happy!
Question:	Can it be easily and quickly removed
Answer:	Although the intent is to screw it in with 3 or 4 screws and use the lock provided, we have not done that. We use a bar in the sliding door track to "lock" the door if we want to leave the pet door in place over night. It is easy to remove it since the spring loaded top segment holds it securely in, but can be lifted out easily if we want to be gone for a few days.

Answer:	You should not bump to anything by Pet Safe don't buy one of these you will be sorely disappointed. Take it from someone who knows. The flaps fly open in the wind the safety door will not stay on and it doesn't take a very big dog to push it off. The one I had, (before I broke it into little bits with a hammer,) the safety door would just blow off in the wind. Look elsewhere NOT a Pet Safe door because their non customer service acts real nice at first, don't let em fool you... they won't help.

Answer:	It's quite heavy and probably wouldn't stay in if you still intend to slide the door. I've seen pet doors that run from the top to bottom of the sliding door opening and think that would work much better.

Question:	will a labrador fit in a large wall unit
Answer:	Yes. I'm on my fourth lab using this product. Three weighed 65 pound dogs for their entire lives. My current lab is a long, tall and lean athletic 80 pound dog. He can go through it without hitting the frame. That said, at 20+ years old, it's time to replace this entire unit. I've had to purchase replacement flaps twice over the 20+ years, but the plastic has now cracked. Considering how long this one lasted, I'll replace it with the same unit.

Answer:	We purchased this about a year ago and our wall is actually quite thick as well. There is a space between the two pieces as they do not connect all the way, It works just fine and both of our dogs don't seem to mind. We were planning on putting something in between but have not done so yet. The space between both sides is small so it doesnt seem to be an issue. Hope this is helpful. Buying this was the best decision we made for our pets. No more accidents at night. They love their door! Plus the double flaps keep the weather out of the house. Answer:	It comes with 6 screws - 4 to hold the frame together & 2 for anchors. I have installed 5 of these doors in various uses. If mounting to an exterior solid slab "thick" door, it helps installation to use 1/4-1/2" longer screws. The screws supplied only connect with 2-3 threads on thick doors which is recipe for failure. Instructions are tough to follow & no diagrams. A great product that is tough to install. You-Tube helps installation.

If the cat door is too thick for the door, please use scissors or cutting machine to cut along the line in the width of the frame.

1. Draw outline on the paper board

Draw the cat door frame on a paper board and cut it down.

Note:

You had better prepare these necessary tools first, pencil, ruller, electric saw, drill, screwdriver, double-side tape.

2. Draw outline on the door

Use a pencil draw around the edge of the cut paper on the door you want to be fixed to.

Note:

Generally, average installation height is around 10-15 cm from the floor.

3. Drill 4 corners for holes

Drill 4 corners for thorough holes first with an electric drill.

4. Cut out a tunnel hole

Cut out the tunnel hole with an electric saw starting at holes drilled.

5. Put the cat door in the door

After the tunnel hole is cut out, it's better to wrap around it with a layer of wood skin. And if your hole is cutting a little big, it's quite neccessary.

6. Cut down tunnel depth if necessary

If the cat door is too thick for your door, use a scissors or cutting machine to cut down some part of tunnel along the line A or B. The cutting scale is about 2-4CM.

7. Mount to the door

Mount the cat door with double-side tape to the door. 8 screws have been provided for your use, tighten them with a screwdriver on both sides.

8. Done

Place screw caps over the screw holes, press them on. The installation is completely done.

Answer:	You should not bump to anything by Pet Safe don't buy one of these you will be sorely disappointed. Take it from someone who knows. The flaps fly open in the wind the safety door will not stay on and it doesn't take a very big dog to push it off. The one I had, (before I broke it into little bits with a hammer,) the safety door would just blow off in the wind. Look elsewhere NOT a Pet Safe door because their non customer service acts real nice at first, don't let em fool you... they won't help.

Answer:	I have a 6lb and 10lb dogs. I think the larger size makes it easier to get in and out without being squeezed. My little dog like to stand 1/2 in 1/2 out and the bigger size makes it more comfortable. Also, if you ever get another larger dog you won't need a new door.

Answer:	No, what comes in the box is one panel in two pieces. The two pieces are easily assembled into one tall panel that fits between your sliding door and the wall. Which means your sliding door is not replaced, but rather open just enough for the panel to fit in place. You then "lock" the panel in place with thumb screws and secure your slider with either the included lock or a board of some sort (your choice).The picture shown is the top half of the panel (left) and the bottom half of the panel (right).

I installed another one because this one was so fantastic. I have a sun porch that is off of a bedroom. It has a patio door, so I purchased one that fits a patio door. They come in the sun porch and then into the bedroom (using the one I put in the window) They love it! and now the come and go as they please. Use potty outside! It has to swing both ways to allow coming and going - maybe you could temporarily remove the door until they get used to the little opening?
