Answer:	Simple answer is yes. The room where I installed my fan was actually a converted attic space where the clearance was 7'-6". Hunter provides 2 sections of connector pipe; one for normal ceilings and one for less clearance. I used the shorter pipe. Perfect clearance. You should have no problems.

Answer:	These transmit at only 1 Watt, so they really don't go very far. If both people were standing on tall hills & no obstructions between them, it might go 12 miles. In town you would get maybe half a mile with all the obstructions like houses, cars, trees, power lines, etc.

Answer:	Depends upon what you mean by a realistic range. If you use the low power setting which is free to use, you can figure a quarter mile line of sight based on my trial. To use the high power mode, you need to get an FCC license which costs over $60 for five years. Then you might get several miles depending upon the amount of obstacles between two units. Buildings and mountains will diminish the range. In a city, you'll be dealing with buildings.

Answer:	There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Many consumers, however, fall into the trap of believing the misleading advertising that various manufacturer’s use to help sell their products, especially when they are in panic mode due to a natural disaster (like an earthquake) or (currently) various lock-down scenarios due to the latest overseas virus. One frequently used example of this buying trap are the claims of 35 to 50 mile range from 1/2 watt UHF FRS/GMRS handheld radios with non-removable antennas (frequently seen on various Cobra, Midland, Motorola, and Uniden radios sold at various big box stores or on the internet). At UHF frequencies (and with a decent antenna), you’ll normally get around 1 mile of range for every 1 watt of power on transmit, so a 1/2 watt big box store FRS/GMRS radio is likely to get only 1/2 mile of range, nowhere near the 35 to 50 mile claims shown on the box in large type (with the phrase “under optimum conditions” shown in very small type). What that means is that if one individual is standing near the cliff face on a tall 9,000 ft. high mountain and his friend is doing the same thing 35 miles away (with nothing between the two mountains but air), then they “may” get the 35 mile range as advertised. Answer:	The red light is just to show contact with the radio inside the desktop charger. Radios do not have to be charged in pairs and may not always be charged at the same time so the charging indicator is actually the battery indicator on the individual radio.

Answer:	The only negative i can say about the batteries is that they dontast long. I personally have rechargeable batteries that i use instead of the battery pack and it works better and always gives me the backup power when i need ot.

Answer:	Not too sure. Many of these radios are simply oem and then branded by a tgird party. Internally at least, they are likely to be the same. The channels may or may not be different, but that is as simple as plug in to a computer and change it.

Answer:	There is a mini phonal jack on the top. It is smaller than the typical 3.5 mm phone jacket for most phones. Need adaptor! The question I have now is "Can I use my headphone or earplug for my Android phone so I can talk and listen with this headphone like with my cell phone? Would I hear the beep on my headphone.
