Question:	Can you remove the magnet
Answer:	I attempted to remove the magnets but stopped once I realized that the magnets seemed to be either built into the actual unit and covered by the rubber seal and/or the magnet is embedded in the bottom of the frame and trying to remove it would damage the overall integrity of the frame and flap.

Answer:	Mine also does this. I'm about to add wd40 on the hinges and extra weights on the end if the door

Answer:	It could be used but would require. Framing the the cat door with 1x2 or something similar. I installed mine 5/8 siding and had to put a wood frame around it after inserting it in the hole I cut in the door. It is made for fitting on an 1 1/2 inch thick door. Hope this explanation helps it requires some extra work but mine works fine.
Question:	When both entries are closed, how much noise reduction/deafening is there? i.e. will it be much help at keeping outside noise outside of the room

Question:	Can I set this door to work like an ordinary cat door? It only works when everything lines up perfectly. That rarely happens
Answer:	If the electromagnetic catch does not appear to function correctly please check the following: a.The collar is attached in the correct orientation, with the magnet’s arrow and label facing forwards b. Place the cat’s collar around four fingers of your hand, so that the magnet is approximately 75mm - 100mm (3 - 4”) back from your fingertips. Move towards the flap with the bottom of the magnet level with the detector. When the magnet is within about 40mm (11⁄2”) of the detector the electromagnetic catch should be activated enabling you to push open the flap with your fingertips. If the electromagnetic catch operates correctly when tested as above, try to observe why the cat is not succeeding, e.g. is the cat not wearing its collar correctly? Is the cat flap installed at the correct height? etc. In the unlikely event of the electromagnetic catch assembly proving to be faulty please note that the catch assembly may be removed and returned for replacement (if within the 3 year warranty period), thus avoiding the need to remove the cat flap entirely. To do this, remove the battery cover and disconnect battery. Unscrew the two retaining screws for the catch assembly, then depress catch while pulling forward until assembly is fully removed. Answer:	yes it will fit a stander interior door. it has a solid plastic door that should keep the sound in the room as the magnet keeps the door closed accept when our cat comes in thru it. Answer:	Maybe a little bit. Interior doors normally aren’t very sound proof, unless you have an older home with solid doors. I actually didn’t notice a difference after installing mine.

Answer:	It’s all plastic.
Question:	Can it be installed in hollow core door
Answer:	I believe that it will work as well as you can make a clean cut on the door and how careful you are with the screws, such as likely much better to predrill all holes by taping the cat door in position to mark exactly where to pre-drill.
Question:	Will this door freeze shut
Answer:	Funny you should ask that now. I am in Western NY State and the answer is....YES. We have it mounted in the side of an unheated shed. Maybe if the room on one side is heated it might not freeze but I would not count on it. These doors have a fine fur or hair like coating along the surfaces that come together. This is supposed too keep the cold air out but in climates where you have freezing temps they just collect moisture and then freeze together. Our cats cannot get them open when this happens so I will be getting a differently constructed one to replace the ones I have now. The screws that come with these doors really suck as well.

4. Cut out a tunnel hole

Cut out the tunnel hole with an electric saw starting at holes drilled.

5. Put the cat door in the door

After the tunnel hole is cut out, it's better to wrap around it with a layer of wood skin. And if your hole is cutting a little big, it's quite neccessary.

6. Cut down tunnel depth if necessary

If the cat door is too thick for your door, use a scissors or cutting machine to cut down some part of tunnel along the line A or B. The cutting scale is about 2-4CM.

7. Mount to the door

Mount the cat door with double-side tape to the door. 8 screws have been provided for your use, tighten them with a screwdriver on both sides.

8 screws for 4 holes on both sides, screw them all in 2 sides as illustration shown above, please. These 8 screws are designed to work together, they are not short.

8. Done

Place screw caps over the screw holes, press them on. The installation is completely done.
