Answer:	I have a 15' round, 54" deep above ground pool that I bought from a local pool store. They installed it s well. I was given a 1HP pump by Waterway. I never had any problem with sand being blown into the pool, and though there was some rotation in the pool, it was far from a whirlpool. It kept the leaves & debris in the center of the pool, which made it easier to clean. That was 6 years ago, & my Waterway just died. I just replaced it with this pump. It's supposed to be arriving Tuesday, so I can't comment on any differences. I can tell you that the pool company gave me a TWM 19 diameter sand filter, & it's been just fine for us.
