Question:	I have a 10,000 above ground pool would I need more than one of these
Answer:	I used it on a 10 foot diameter, 30 inch deep Intex above ground pool, one of those with the blow-up ring around the top. It would heat it up a little on a warm sunny day. My pool is probably 1,000 gallons. So yes you would need more than one. If you can control the flow of water through the panel with a valve then you could regulate it to get maximum heat by slowing down the flow.
Question:	Is having it installed for an extra fee an option? I'm a senior citizen, and not confident to hook this up by myself
Answer:	As long as you can bend over for a short time, you can handle it! I'm 54 (almost senior), but have a spine injury with a great deal of nerve damage. I was able to install alone. Just make sure you have the suggested lube to get the tubing into the unit, or you won't be able to get it in. That makes it a breeze! Good luck!
Question:	Will this work on my dough boy pool
Answer:	It should. Depends on how much sun etc your yard gets. We have an above ground pool (18 ft around) and normally temps are in the high 60s ( like 68-70) when we open the pool and we freeze when we get in or can't swim at all till mid June. We installed one of these and it's been a big help with raising temps. our yard is semi sunny and our temps have jumped up to 83 in our pool.

Answer:	How long do you run them? We are in Wyoming. Warm days, cool nights. We run ours from 9 am until about 5 pm. The heater is in the sun the entire time. Our pool, 18 foot round, 4 foot deep, gets to 100 in July. Now with cooler nights and daytime temps, it is at about 90.

Answer:	I do not have the manuals but here is the answer to connecting the hoses. The connection is for 1 1/2 hoses. Do NOT use the hoses that come with the dome no matter what.

Question:	What size are the hose connections
Answer:	It can hook up to 1.25 intex or 1.5 hose. You need gaskets though.
Question:	How would this work for heating my 40 gal hot water heater
Answer:	I'm presently heating 60 gallons. Keep in mind it only heats as long as is on the unit. You will need a pump to circulate the water and dual shut off valves to isolate the water while it is heating. I heat a jacuzzi with mine and in the peak of summer I got over 120° incoming water. Good luck.
Question:	Can you connect several of them together easily
Answer:	Yes, it has a connection hose and clamps with each one to tie one, two or more together. Hint: make sure you silicone the caps and threaded fittings. I did even with the Teflon Tape to insure no leaks. Work great.

Answer:	Yes it works with a sand filter. It also works with salt water systems. I installed mine downstream from the filter on the inlet line to the pool and before the chlorine generator. I would not install it upstream from the pump and filter because you don't want any debris that gets past the skimmer to get into the heater to potentially cause blockages. It doesn't have to be before the chlorine generator either, that's just how mine worked out.

Answer:	As to the 15 pound dog, yes if properly set and tested. The sensitivity changes according to how high or low from the water surface the sensor is. As to a thermal blanket, I have no idea.

Answer:	it comes with a long tether that can be easily shortened without cutting it, but you could let it float around without it. If it is free floating be sure it is alarming properly. Its alarm sensitivity is also very adjustable. Note: rain will also likely set it off.

Sensitivity Marks

The “Sensitivity Marks” can be used as a general indicator for the sensitivity position. RECEIVER

Your receiver works with the pool alarm allowing you to monitor your pool from within your house. When the floating alarm is activated it sends a signal to activate the receiver.

Transmission Modes

The receiver has two modes of operation: Serial Number mode (SN mode) and ID mode. When the receiver is in SN mode it will accept the transmission of any Pool Patrol transmitter (this is the default setting). The serial number is common to all transmitters. When the receiver is in ID mode it will accept the serial number plus the ID number of the transmission. The ID number is unique to each transmitter.

RECEIVER PLACEMENT

It is best to place the receiver next to a window or wood door adjacent to the pool with-in 200 feet from the transmitter. Do not place the receiver near steel walls, cabinets, on or alongside an electrical appliance, such as a computer, or on a metal surface as this may affect signal reception. The pool alarm will not transmit its signal through the ground.

Answer:	I just connected system to discharge line (2") to pool as source and then returned to same discharge line as return from sun exposure. Also included a 1/2" pipe at top of return end of system with a valve on it to allow for release of air which in fact takes time to push through.

Answer:	I would not go with less than 4 panels. You should base the number of panels on the sf of your pools surface and the amount of sun the panels will receive. I recall reading somewhere that the surface of the panels should be no less than 60% of your pool surface if you want to gain any advantage by using solar. On a pool your size, with the panels in the sun, in Florida, four panels would give you a long swimming season. While I'm too cheap to use an automatic temperature valve for the panels, you may want to consider it. I believe building code requires some sort of safety device that will prevent scalding. I learned the hard way that if you turn the panels on late in the day that water coming out of your supply line will be hotter than McDonalds coffee. I live in SW Florida.

These are made to connect the filter hose to the panels. (although we bought new fittings to use all pvc pipe) It doesn't have any mounting hardware or rack to mount the panels to. So don't expect to have everything you will need. The picture on this ad shows more than what you will get. But performance of this heater has been very satisfying

Question:	Can I use a submersible pump that generate 10 psi at the solar panel's inlet? 1.5 HP sounds like an overkill and involves high energy to run
Answer:	Given that our pump shows a bit more than 10 psi (four panels, connected in paralell) I can't see why 10 at the inlet won't work. I found these panels worked more efficiently (much higher flow) plumbing two intakes at one end, and one return at the other. There is more pipe involved, but i was able to use my existing Intex pool pump with about 18ft of head on the system.
Question:	I have a 14' x 40' inground pool; would everyone recommend that I buy two of these to go along the entire length of the pool, would one be okay
Answer:	Unless your pool is only 2 feet deep, you definitely need at least 2 panels. I have a 14' x 30' pool and 2 is the correct number for sufficient heating in TX. Rule of thumb, 1 panel for every 5000 gallons of pool. Also, you don't need to run them the length of the pool end to end. I have mine side by side up on top of the roof of my pergola. That way they don't take up as much room. I've also installed them side by side up on the house roof.

Answer:	I believe so- we have a 15 foot by 30 foot oval pool and I think that is 15,000 or 17,000 gallons of water. We have had our solar cover since last summer and we are very happy with it. It is a good quality cover.
Question:	Is this kit for above-ground or in-ground pools? Ours is in-ground
Answer:	It works for both in-ground and above-ground pools. You connect it to the pool pump so you will need a diversion valve.
Question:	Has anybody use this for an inground pool? And how did it work
Answer:	I have not used this for an inground pool, but the pool type should not matter. As water is moves through the panel, it picks up a little heat on each pass. The amount of heat is determined by the number of panels. The only difference between inground and above ground pools that would be an issue is heat loss, which would depend on your environment and pool materials.
Question:	How many gallons of water does the 4 ft x 20 ft panel itself hold
Answer:	Don't know but it isn't much as heating tubes so small. Never seems to be too much water that drains out when I put away for winter

Answer:	It's about 2 1/2 feet by 4 1/2 feet. The actual dimensions are listed in the product description. But beware, we just installed ours yesterday and a seam on it burst and drained a foot of water out of our pool in less than a hour. We are waiting to hear back about a refund.

Question:	How do you get these to stop leaking? Why cant they fix the problem? After all we can rocket to the moon
Answer:	The items surface is dark in color, thus absorbing sun/heat readily. I would not recommend sitting on it with bare skin. I would not recommend touching it for more than a few seconds with bare skin if a hot day in direct sunlight. It will be hot. Not warm. Hot.
Question:	Can this be used for inground pools
Answer:	There is a bypass switch if you wish to stop the water flowing through the mat at any time.
Question:	Does it heat 1600 gallons of water
Answer:	You need a certain amount. I got 1 then realized my 15 ft pool needed 4. That being said, I could feel the warmer water coming in the pool with one. Worked well. Regardless of persons response before. Maybe they set it up incorrectly. However, it's plastic and pops and if that happens your pool will drain. Also intex customer service should be reported to BBB for lack of handling complaints.
Question:	Can 2 panels be combined

Answer:	If you are matching brand, the only thing you need is the blockers. (They provide a plastic washer on the pair, but to add another pair you would need an extra. You could probably make one with some thin rigid plastic.)

Answer:	This is a woven poly fabric and it will absolutely allow air and water thru and almost 100% prevents weed growth. The only caveat is that you should cut it with a heat knife, relatively inexpensive and will prolong the use of this material for many years. Otherwise, since it is woven it will unravel. I have used it for 2 years with excellent results in my vegetable garden and plan to use it around my home as a permanent weed block covered with wood chips. I also recommend landscaping staples with this product. I learned about this fabric from Herrick Kimble, an excellent gardener, inventor and entrepreneur.
