Answer:	I have a saltwater system and this works really well with it it just took a little bit longer to clear out all the alge .

Answer:	I have used this product for several years, and it does a great job, but it does a much better job if you combine this along with the addition of Borax to your pool. If you add Borax, raise your Borate levels to around 50-80, and use this product, you will not have any problems with any type of algae growth. If you have small dogs that drink the pool water, it is best to keep the Borates between 30-50, but no higher.
Question:	How long do you need to wait to go swimming after adding the Seaclear
Answer:	I can't recall that there was any required wait time but I would add to the pool water in the evening and circulate overnight. This algaecide is so worth the money and will last three months pretty much to the day it was first added.

Answer:	My pool is 18,000 gallons, and I tried this product. The first two weeks the pool looked great. A slight drop in chlorine left me with mustard algae. This product will work if you keep your chlorine at the correct level, but so will the aqua chem 20% algaecide, which costs less than 10% of the SeaKlear when you consider that the maintenance level is only 6 ounces. There is no product on the market that will keep algae out of your pool if you don't maintain your chlorine level. Here in Florida, mustard algae is persistent, and is in the air, so we fight that every year. It is much cheaper to buy a mustard algae killer and shock the pool every week during the swimming season. One product I use is a phosphate remover. Most algaes require phosphates to grow and thrive. Anything you can do to keep the phosphate level low will help. Any pool place can test for phosphates. We do not have our pool covered, and have lots of trees. I highly recommend it. Does not harm the birds that drink out of my fountain.

Copper sulfate should be used as a pond algae treatment on actively growing algae in water temperature above 60F. When getting rid of algae in a pond, it is always important to treat 1/2 of the pond algae at a time to avoid killing too much algae and depleting the water of oxygen. Answer:	Ours is all well water, and it worked well for us.
Question:	Can you tell me the active ingredients to the GLB algaecide
Answer:	It depends if your filter is clean, but I will assume you backwash at least once a week for a couple minutes and rinse for about 30 seconds. Do the following: 1. put in the recommended dosage of algecide on the bottle. There is two recommendations on all algecide bottles for a preventive or maintenance dose, if you see it, it is maintenance requiring a higher dosage. Fill up your pool with tap water till it is above the top of the skimmer. Leave the pool filter overnight for 24 hours, next day. Turn off your pool pump, put it in Waste position, turn on the pump, remove your skimmer basket, and hook up your pool cleaning hose to the skimmer pipe attached to your pole and scrub vacuum. I am in the above ground pool doing all this maintenance the dead algae and other debris is being sucked out and the bigger stuff is collected in your pool pump basket. The dead algae and smaller particles do not go in the sand tank, they are be flushed out in your yard or wherever your out valve is directed (I have a spray cannon so it waters my lawn at the same time and kills the grass where it lands from the chlorine (LOL). You need to move very slowly a small step at a time so not to stir up the bottom until you finish the entire pool. Secure the power and put the pump in the closed position, remove the pump filter basket and clean it out the basket with a garden hose till it is spotless, and put it back in the pump and secure the top. Remove the pool vacuum and hose from the skimmer and the pool, and put the clean basket back in there. Next go to the pool pump and place it in the backwash position, turn on the pump for about 2-3 minutes or until the site glass shows clear looking water, then shut off the pump, move to the rinse position for 30-60 seconds and shut the pool pump off, turn to the filter position, and turn the pump back on. If the water level is not at half line, add water, also add quick dissolve shock directly to the skimmer. Wait 24 hours and check the pool and it should be clear, but may have more dead algae or dirt on the bottom. This time you can just remove the skimmer basket and hook up the vacuum hose and repeat the cleaning process which will collect the larger stuff in the pool pump basket and the algae will go to the pump, but you can move a bit quicker. When done, disconnect the vacuum and hose and put the skimmer basket back in, shut off the pump and if larger debris was in the pool clean out the pump basket as previously done and put it all back. Then move the valve to Backwash for 2 minutes, rinse for only 30 seconds, and back to filter after shutting the pool off for each position change. Again top off the water to the half way mark and add a little quick dissolve again to directly to the skimmer. PS: The main algae growth source is usually in ladders doing into the pool, so they need to be removed and washed with a strong Clorox-water solution and hosed off and allowed to dry. Algae needs two sources for growth. UVA/UVB Light and high temperature that is above 78 degrees which is why we do not have algae problems in the colder weather. I use a pool pump and elevate the water up in the air about 10-15 feet to cool the water over night and I live in the swamps of Louisiana. LOL

Question:	Will this effect trout or bass
Answer:	I treat my 100' x 200' x 4' deep quarry with 1 bottle of liquid Cutrine Plus that diluted, and I use a 1 gallon juicer to throw the mixture around initially, then it disperses itself throughout the whole quarry. I've seen algae react immediately on impact when I threw it in. I throw it in on one side of the quarry only and it spreads itself. The change is so dramatic that I've had swimmers over the decades willing to buy more for the quarry just to see the crystal-clear water. In 1994, I had a problem with red algae occurring, and didn't know how to treat it. I had the professor from Lehigh Univrsity and Muhlenberg College look at it and analysis it, but she had no solution to get rid of it. In my conversation with a man about selling me a tank with sand as a filter, he asked me why I didn't just use this product. I hadn't heard of it before, but he was correct. I called their tech department and followed through from there, and I've never been sorry. Cutrine Plus is tremendously effective and safe.

Initially I had to use wthe whole bottle but it cleared up the problem quickly. I now dose my pool weekly with 6 ounces as a preventative. I haven't had an algae problem since. To administer the does I add the 6 ounces to a bucket of water and ensure that it is mixed well. I then pore it along the edge of the pool in the deep end with the filter running. I hope this helps.
Question:	Should this be treated at night and is it safe for a plaster pool
Answer:	I always mix it in a 5 gallon bucket with pool water before adding to pool. This will kill all the algae in the pool and filter system if treated properly and regularly. You could add directly to the skimmer but it is not needed.

Answer:	No, Cutrine Plus does not work for duckweed. I've used Sonar A.S. for duckweed--works great, but not cheap!

Answer:	You need to shock it with liquid chlorine first. Algicide is for maintenance after your water is balanced properly. Sounds like you may need some PH increaser. I'd try the Arm&Hammer baking soda. You can get it in 8 pound bags.
