Answer:	No, the tablets do not 'blow up' when removed from water. If you're getting a high ppm reading you may be using too many tablets for your pool's size. Our pool is approximately 28,000 gallons, and we use two tablets in a floating container/distributor. We augment the tablets with once-a-week shock. If we have to add water (we live in the Florida Keys), or get a lot of rain we'll adjust the chemicals accordingly. Also, be sure you're running your pump and filter at least 8 hours a day for dispersal of chemicals.

My skimmer became brittle after about 20 years of use putting 3-4, 3 inch tablets in the skimmer, hardly anything to worry about after 20 years. Also, I get that the chlorine sitting there when the pump is not running can concentrate the chlorine and yes the water does go into your pool filter but the initial corrosive water is not sitting in the filter it gets pumped right back out into the pool and less chlorinated water is coming in behind it. I have had the same pool filter and pumps since my pool was built 25 years ago and have no problems putting 3 inch chlorine tabs in the skimmer basket. I have only replaced the inside of the filter once because some of the sections were ripped, replaced the skimmer basket once after 20 years, and I just had it re-plastered 3 years ago. Like I said before, I'm no expert this is just my experience. Now if someone can tell me how to get rid of the pool.....

Question:	Are these good for saltwater pool
Answer:	Yes, they can be helpful. Saltwater pools use a chlorine generator but in my case there is insufficient chlorine generated (even though it's near 100% capacity). I had two or three tablets to the skimmer every few weeks and it helps maintain a good disinfectant level.

Question:	Pool nOOb here. I have a saltwater pool with automatic chorine generator. Is this the stabilizer I need to add to skimmer baskets
Answer:	Cyanuric acid is the stabilizer you're thinking of. This has it but there are other products available that are just cyanuric acid without the chlorine.
Question:	I have always used sticks because they won't dissolve unless water is flowing over them. Do these work the same way
Answer:	I have used 3” tabs in my floating duck chlorinater and my levels are always consistent. The tabs dissolve faster during the summer months never have had a problem with them

Answer:	As far as I know it doesn't, it's pool chlorine not like laundry bleach.

Answer:	35lbs divided be half pound tablets, minus packaging equals 60 or so tablets. Definitely way more that 10 tablets--it a pretty big container.

Answer:	I have a 13,000 gallon pool. I usually put 3 tablets in skimmer. They usually last around 4 -5 days depending on the weather.

Question:	Does this Work with salt water pool
Answer:	I thought the idea of a salt water pool was that you didn’t need to use chlorine. So, I do not think that this is a necessary item.
Question:	What is percentage of chlorine in each tab. Some brands have fillers
Answer:	I do not know. I use a copper infusion solar device that puts copper ions in the pool and I use 2/3 less chlorine because algae can not grow in then copper environment.
Question:	Is this 6 in 1 same label as pictured
Answer:	Yes it is. We love this product I think you will too.
Question:	Will my CYA levels rise with prolonged use
Answer:	I used a floatron that puts copper ions to prevent algae growth, reduces the amount of chlorine usage by up to 75% and never worried about CYA levels. The copper probe also collects calcium and lowers hardness instead of changing or adding water when levels get too high.

Question:	Every week I have to add acid to my pool to decease the pH. Will these tablets keep the pH from increasing
Answer:	It is 86% baking soda, which will increase you pH. I would discontinue using a chemical that reduces your pH unless you are trying to raise pH. Pools only need three chemicals: Chlorine, Clorine stabilizer (CYA) NO more then 30ppm, and muriatic acid. Boric acid can be used to stabilize your pH as well, which will raise you pH, but as it is an acid not as much as baking soda will.
Question:	Can i just drop the tablets in my pool or do i have to use a dispenser? i only have one dispenser that i put the cholorine tabs in. we have an 18x
Answer:	It's baking soda. It's technically one of the chemicals that is fine to drop in the pool. I would just assist it with a brush maybe.
Question:	Can you use this with a saltwater system
Answer:	The directions on the container say "use with your chlorine"... That being said, I don't know if they are compatible/useful in a saltwater system.
Question:	Is this jut baking soda
Answer:	The product is mostly baking soda with water clarifier added in. The product does 3 things: increases pH, increases Alkalinity and adds clarifier to your pool water. I use this product with my outdoor pool which holds about 28,000 gallon and have been very happy with it. I add about 1 tablet of this per 4 tablets of 3 inch chlorine tablets that I put into my chlorinator. If you monitor your pool chemistry you could also periodically just add a tablet(s) when your pH and Alkalinity levels get low in your pool.

Answer:	These are way too large and strong for a kiddie pool. Buy a 1” floater and 1” tablets instead and only put 1 or 2 of them in it and check your chlorine levels daily. Also, the person who said you need a filtration system for these to work is right. These are way overkill for a kiddie pool!! If yours doesn’t have a filtration system, I would just stick to dumping it and refilling every couple days. Hope this helps.

1. Test and Balance pH Levels

First, make sure the pH of the water is balanced. If the pH is too high or too low, the chlorine sanitizer won’t work as effectively. The ideal pH range is between 7.2 and 7.8.

2. Proper Sanitization Requires Circulation

HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets release chlorine slowly. Run your pump at least 8 hours per day (or night) to ensure your water is properly sanitized.

3. Apply to Feeder, Floater or Skimmer

Place one tablet in pool feeder, floater or skimmer per 10,000 gallons of water every week or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual of 1-4 ppm. Do not add directly to the pool as this can cause damage to pool surfaces.

Check the free available chlorine level and adjust to 2-4 ppm by adding a granular chlorinating product. Start up and initial treatment directions: If water is cloudy or green, super-chlorinate pool with appropriate shock product until pool is clear. Add 16 ounces of this product (two tablets) per 10,000 gallons of pool water to feeder or floater and then test for the free available chlorine level (allow water to circulate at least 4 hours before testing). Adjust the feeder or floater following manufacturer’s instructions to establish a free available chlorine level between 2-4 ppm. When free available chlorine level is adjusted to 2-4 ppm, add an algaecide appropriate to your needs. Answer:	It will turn green if you previously used the Baquacil brand of non-chlorine sanitizer or oxidizer.

Answer:	Neither these tabs or shock will have much impact on low ph and alkalinity. You should use ph up and alkalinity up treatments for those. These tabs are great at controlling the issues they are meant to be used for, though.
