How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Answer:	I had a Tigershark and the basket was a pain in the butt to clean. It also would let a lot of debri back in the pool when you pulled it out. I also had the motor go out and then the next year it stopped working. It came out when everyone else was using cloth bags to catch debri. At that time the Tiger Shark was the king but there are better designed models out there unless Hayward re-designed the unit.

How to set the weekly timer

When the power supply is switched on, you can press the weekly timer button to select one of the following cleaning schedules for the week ahead: One click: The robot will automatically work every day for a full cycle. This cycle will have the robot clean seven times in a week. Two clicks: The robot will automatically work every other day for a full cycle; that is four times in a week. Three clicks: The robot will automatically work every three days; that is three times in a week. A fourth click will cancel the cleaning schedule program. After selecting one of the schedule options, the robot will start to operate at the next occurrence of the programed start time. If the robot is working in the weekly timer mode, the weekly timer button will constantly blink between cycles. At the end of the week, the power supply will automatically switch off and you will need to reschedule the robot.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. How to clean the filters

Cleaning the filters are simple. Just remove the filter(s) from the robot, release the latch to let the dirt and debris fall out, and then hose off any remaining debris. Do not let the filters dry out before cleaning them. Clogged filters reduce the effectiveness of the cleaning. We suggest cleaning your filters every two months. Bag filters can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees, using a synthetic wash cycle, and allow to air dry. Cartridge filters can be clean in the dishwasher at 30 degrees. Although the filters may look clean, small particles may dry into the filter material and clog the filters.

Question:	We have a 30' round above ground pool with "wedding cake" pool steps. Will the cleaner move around them without getting stuck
Answer:	Jennie, What happens is the Pool Rover will stop when bumps into something and reverse direction. Remember to lock the wheel axle at an angled position so it will continue in a circular pattern. This unit is excellent!! My pool is 18' round above ground and it cleans my pool when it has leaves and debris in about 15-30 minutes. It really is amazing. One tip I have learned about cleaning the bag: if possible, let it dry out a couple days then, empty it out, then rinse it clean in COLD WATER ONLY. Do not use any chemicals or detergents. Good luck. Question:	Why does it keep stopping after a few minutes even when the bag is clean
Answer:	This means a relay has gone out inside the power supply, and it will not engage for more than two so three seconds. Do not expect warranty service from Aquatic Distributors out of Mahwah, New Jersey - this is the company Pool Rover has contracted with to fix all of their defective products. I have been waiting for a call regarding my pool rover for 3 months from the fools over at Aquatic Distributors, and have since decided to deal with the Better Business Bureau. Next will be a false advertising claim levied against the manufacturer for contracting with Aquatic Distributors in order to fulfill their legal requirement of a warranty - even though they (Aquatic Distributors) do not have the prerequisite infrastructure to complete repairs. 5 People cannot service 5k machines a year. The first time I called I was on hold 50 minutes, the second time I called I was on hold an hour and 20 minutes, and the third(and final) time I called, I was on hold 2 hours and 10 minutes, just to get someone who was devoid of English - spoke in Ebonics and did not offer me any assistance. I will never purchase another pool rover, or deal with the inebriates over at Aquatic Distributors/Aquatic Degenerates ever again.

Answer:	Mine ripped also after a while. I just went to Walmart and bought some very fine netting and wrapped it around the frame. 97 cents and I was back to vacuuming my pool.

Answer:	I have a Bestway 18'x9'x48" Rectangular Frame Above Ground Pool and it works on mine. I just had to remove the screen filter that goes to the return fitting but it works perfect. Picks up leaves, berries,small sticks and sand that occasionally comes out Sand Filter. This is my 3rd unit I've had. The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump.

Anyway, I would give it a solid 4, maybe 5 if it had been assembled properly when we got it. It works now after my husband realized what was wrong. My husband wrote the following: How to troubleshoot an Intex Auto Cleaner which will not reverseWe recently bought an Intex Auto Cleaner. When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". If it is outside of the upside down"U", your Auto Cleaner will never reverse and operate as intended.Hope this help
Question:	i have an intex above ground pool with algae at the bottom that i need to remove so which vacuum do u recomend me to have
Answer:	The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water.

Question:	How is the pool robot pulled from the bottom of the pool? Do you have to pull it out by the power cord of fish it out with a net or what
Answer:	This product is very sufficient and does a great JOB. However I noticed last year when we began to close up the pool in September that the top of Aquabot cable cleaner is loose. The Grab cable between the cleaner and swivel is loose--popped right out. I'm not sure how to prepare that! After each use I would lift the cleaner out of the pool by the handle. It's a brand new pool cleaner and I would not buy another product like this..

Answer:	The screen in the basket is pretty fine, maybe not as fine as other algae removing filters, you could easily add a nylon sock, or other fine filter inside of the basket, I don’t have an Algae problem, but that might be just because this thing works so darn well!

Answer:	You could pull the rover out by the cable but I worry it will break. The rover has two handles, one on each side. I have a scooper that is on a stick and put it under a handle and pull it up that way so don't have to worry about damaging the cord.

Answer:	I had one of the early versions. I loved its performace. It came with one year warranty, but it died after almost two years. Luckily I purchased 3 year warranty from asurion. Have bought a few warranties from Asurion and first time using one. They had great customer support. Emailed me a free mailing label. I sent it and about a week later they sent me amazon gift card email. I am buying this model since it looks like it is best rated for the price. It is a little more cost then last model and insurance is more but I would not buy any pool robot without insurance. I am going to keep the box to ship back if it breaks, last time I had to box it myself.
