How It Works

1.Place the bait (What is recommended as a bait for this kid of trap is the peanut butter) in just a small compartment in one of the ends, open holes should face the trap's inside. This is going to lure the mouse into the trap, where the smell comes from.

2.Open the gate on that other end. As the mouse moves to the other end to reach the bait, the weight of the mouse is going to move to the farthest fulcrum side triggering the trap and the gate is going to close.

3.Once you catch the mouse in the trap, take the whole trap outdoors where you lift the compartment for food in order to open your trap. The mouse will then run out.

Question:	What do you do with the mice after catching them? Release them so that they'll get caught again? Or just let them out in the neighbor's yard
Answer:	When my husband and I caught rodents in a have-a-heart trap we would take the chipmunks to the Catholic cemetery and squirrels and rats to the non-sectarian cemetery. Both locations had plenty of grass and trees and were about 7 miles from our house. They would run like crazy when we opened the trap door. Put a towel around the cage to keep them calmer during transport.
Question:	Are they reusable? Caught a mouse shortly after I placed it but flap will not stay down now
Answer:	They are reusable but I found that I had an issue where the mouse chewed the little flap that holds the panel in the down position. Once that happened, the trap is no good. I caught many mice with the trap, but one feisty mouse ruined the trap. Luckily they are inexpensive and I purchased more. A great live trap.
Question:	I just received but cant open the little sliding door, does anyone else have this problem ? I tried and tried broke my nail , impossible
Answer:	I was having the same problem. There’s a tiny tab ‘lock’ on the top center which keeps the door from sliding up. I used a knife wedged between the door and trap (top inner side of door) to push the door out a little then slid it up. It’s strange there is no instructions on how to do this properly. I could not do it without the knife.
Question:	What do you do with the mice after catching
Answer:	I live in a big city near downtown. The nearby railroad yard next to a park seemed ideal. I left some food, couple paper towels and paper towel cardboard roll. I think he’ll be fine. Answer:	I catch lizards in them all the time here in Florida. I'm not sure they're attracted to the scent though. I only seem to catch them walking through high traffic areas. I also catch baby snakes constantly.

Answer:	Easy way? Yes and no. Key is to see how the straight lever attaches to the yellow plastic piece. And, watch where your fingers are. Might be helpful to wear a glove on the hand handling the trap. I too am nervous handling traps.😊

Answer:	I would suggest two things to check on your mousetraps. First, verify that the trap mechanisms are clean and clear of any extraneous materials and are operating smoothly. The traps need to have this high level of sensitivity, to capture the mouse. A very small amount of WD40 will help lubricate moving parts. Secondly, only fill the cup 1/3 to 1/2 full. The less amount of PB will not discourage the mouse, but will require it to "dig deeper" to get to it. This added movement should be enough to trigger the trap release.

Question:	How effective is this? Last night I placed two and it was snapped and the bait was gone but didn't catch the mice
Answer:	Living on a farm we get mice more often than we would like. I bought these, and they haven't failed. Work everything for us! Snaps super hard. Just place a tiny bit of peanut butter within the reserve. That's all you need. If it was snapped and the bait gone, then either too much bait, or I have no clue. There is no way a mouse is getting away from this trap!

Answer:	I did not have that problem with these. The ones caught with these traps were trapped good and all were dead. I checked the traps about every 6 hrs because we hate mice-almost made us want to sell our house and move. I ordered 2 sets of 2. At this great price, when it "caught" a mouse, I threw it all away. I also bought about a dozen of the plastic (black with yellow) ones that are like the old school ones. They were equally affordable and considered them "disposable" as well. Both kinds were extremely effective and caught more than my Orkin guy did. His glue traps were wholly ineffective. When they say you see one but you really have 5 or 6, they aren't kidding. *I do not recommend the electric traps. It never worked and was a waste of $20.

Answer:	Use a glass bowl at least 5" high and put peanut oil in it to about 3" high.Build a ramp (a board or a small piece of wood) that the mouse can climb up the ramp to the top of the bowl. I put a little bit of peanut butter on the side of the bowl which gets the mouse to balance on the side and usually falls into the bowl of peanut oil. Once they slide into the peanut oil and are covered with it there is no traction for the mouse to get out. They usually die from drowning or exhaust themselves trying to get out.Use some old tongs to disguard the mouse in a plastic baggie.

Question:	After catching snake how do you Discard the snake
Answer:	I have caught several rattlers in my garage on these traps. My intent was for mice and rats, but if a rattlesnake is in my garage, I am glad to catch it with this trap. How It Works

2.Open the gate on that other end. As the mouse moves to the other end to reach the bait, the weight of the mouse is going to move to the farthest fulcrum side triggering the trap and the gate is going to close.

3.Once you catch the mouse in the trap, take the whole trap outdoors where you lift the compartment for food in order to open your trap. The mouse will then run out.

Answer:	May be good for chipmunks, but for chipmonks, I'm not sure. If you can't spell it maybe you shouldn't be using these, they're dangerous. Buy poison.

Answer:	Are you putting them along a mouse trail like close to the walls? if only a part of the mouse touches the trap it will set it off without catching the mouse. I'm catching mice without even baiting the trap by setting them in their line of travel. Give it another try they work great

Answer:	I do not know what that picture represents because it is corn on the cob handles. The mouse traps are simple to set easy to use and catch mice and they sure in the hell don't look like the picture that you have in front of me now. I think that this is a misprint on Amazon's part. Get the mouse traps that show the picture and they work. With the picture you have in front of you all you can do is try to stab the poor mouth and I don't think anybody's quick enough to do that if you've ever seen a mouse run. Good luck

Answer:	There is no difference but be warned if the mouse is fat it can not fit into the trap. I had this issue because I believe the one I had was either pregnant or fat due to eating dog food 🤦🏼‍♀️ So I had to get an old fashion trap 🤢

Answer:	This is a one time only trap. This is why it is expensive compared to traditional traps. However, I still prefer this one since I don't have to view the results.

Answer:	This trap does not kill mice; it traps them. It's a two-piece mechanism with two walls. There is a small doorway in each wall leading into a pathway to the bait. When the trap is set (accomplished by twisting the top half to load the spring), these doorways align. When the trap is tripped, the top half spins back to a neutral position, leaving no way for a mouse to escape.
