They are located on opposing corners of the house, where they are away from the decks, sidewalks, etc. They work the same way, but are industrial use... light attracts the insects, they get sucked-in, and can't escape... eventually dying of dehydration. I've caught everything from mosquitoes, moths, biting flies, etc. Bees are not attracted to it, normally, but I have captured a carpenter bee, once. These small units are okay for indoor use, or for screened porches.

If you are one of those people who left good review, supposedly they are supposed to give you 2 years warranty. They are based out of china so I am not sure how true that is but try your luck and email them and they will respond to you over night. And you have to realize each communication takes 2 days since you are in different time zone. They will also ignore your email at times. So good luck. How I know this? I went through this BS with this dishonest seller. So, I tried Katchy brand. They are from China too but their customer service is very responsive

Answer:	I used one of the replacement glue pads as a template on basic yellow sticky traps. Two discs can be cut from one sheet, and has the advantage of being double sided. Seemed to work just as well. MUCH less expensive and more readily available than the Katchy glue boards. Please understand that my problem was with fungus gnats. If you problem is with some other type of insect, your milage may vary.

Question:	I had this unit for 1 month, changed the glue card and the uv light died a week later. is there a warranty? i think the bulb should last longer
Answer:	The instruction book tells you about the warranty. I googled it and the instructions say that the light bulb is not covered. I recently bought this one to replace a competitor's unit and have noticed with theirs that the more you turn the light on and off (or unplugging it), it shortens its life span exponentially. I normally try to VERY CAREFULLY change the sticky pad while the unit is on. In doing this you will also have to remember that it is a UV light bulb and its effectiveness goes down quickly as it's used. Manufacturers normally recommend changing the bulbs every 6 months. With that being said I would definitely change the bulb at least once a year. You will also notice a drop in performance or bug collection even though the light bulb still illuminates and looks like it's working. That's your other sign that the bulb needs to be changed, not just when it burns out. I generally try to change it late winter early spring to get the most out of my bulbs. We don't have as many bugs here during the late fall and winter seasons so the unit doesn't have to work as efficiently during those seasons.

So no, this thing doesn't particularly attract mosquitoes.

Answer:	You push the triangle down into the dirt of your houseplant. If you do that, then the butterfly will stay upright by itself. Otherwise it will not stand up by itself.

Answer:	These are sticky on both sides and anything that touches either side is stuck to it. So, I think it's safe to say: "No, it won't be safe for Lady Bugs". Sorry, but I hope I was of help.

Answer:	Yes it works for fungus gnats and white flies. Make sure to stick the triangle part all the way down in the soil. I have most of the gnats sticking on the bottom part and around the edges of the trap. Never tried it on fruit flies. The trap might work on them as well.
Question:	I noticed fruit flies in my fridge. Could I put one of these traps in the fridge
Answer:	I imagine the humidity and cold of the refrigerator would make the sticky glue less effective. For ANY kind of bugs in your fridge, I would suggest cleaning your fridge with bleach, throwing out any old food, and checking the temperature. Bugs should not be active inside a refrigerator, as it operates at a temperature that would make most insects hibernate. Your refrigerator should operate at a temperature of 33°f-42°f.

Question:	Is it a good trap? These gnats are very irritating
Answer:	It works. It takes a while, and I had to put several out. I finally had success when I eliminated anything with water sitting out, put about 5 of these out in high gnat traffic areas, and one small dish of water with cooking oil on top and traps around it. They went to the water and either got stuck because of the oil or got stuck on a trap. It took about five days to get them all under control, so be patient.
Question:	are they easy to remove from surfaces when finished with them
Answer:	They do not have adhesive to be used to stick them up. The sticky part is for the insects. I used tape to put them up.
Question:	do these work for regular flies
Answer:	Hi there! The traps work mostly on fruit flies, thrips, whiteflies, leaf miner gnats, midges, fungus gnats, aphids and mosquitoes.
