Answer:	Use less peanut butter on the end of the plank (this is often my problem). Just a very slight smudge of peanut butter is all that is needed as the mice will smell any amount and come to look. Remember, they aren't actually going to be able to eat any so what you place will stay there. If that doesn't help, there is an adjustment screw under the plank. Turn it clockwise to decrease the magnet hold, or counter clockwise to increase the magnet hold. It's counter intuitive, but you screw in the screw deeper so it is a little further away from the magnet, which decreases the pull between the two. You remove the screw a little (counter clockwise) to get closer to the magnet to increase the hold between the two. Thus, letting the magnet work and reset the trap.

Question:	Will this work for chipmunks? Or is the ramp too flimsy for their weight? (They are obviously a bit heavier than mice
Answer:	The ramp can hold up to 15 pounds, It may seem flimsy to us humans but you have to remember that mice are only 0.3 ounces. I know people have said they have caught chipmunks before with this trap, but you have been warned that this trap was specifically designed for mice. But to answer your question; Yes, the chipmunks will have no problem going up the ramp. I'm not so sure the trap will work for chipmunks although I know people have said it has in the past. Please buy at your own risk.
Question:	Can you use sand (fine or coarse) in the bottom of the bucket instead of water? Will this keep the mice from launching off the bottom
Answer:	This sounds like an effective method to keeping them from jumping out. To test it; Simply smooth out the sand and if the mouse falls for the trap and messes up the sand and is no longer in the bucket when you get to the trap, you will know that this method did not work. I suggest using saw dust or putting an inch of water so they cannot jump out.
Question:	If there a way to adjust the magnet/weight at which the plank tips? I've read reviews that say it couldn't get the smaller mice
Answer:	Yes, There is a tiny screw under the plank for adjustment. If you unscrew the screw the plank will become more "heavy" and if you screw the screw in the plank will be very light and sensitive.

This trap works because it is very light in weight; the rolling element is 2-4 oz. lighter than the average mouse. When the mouse either turns around or sits to eat, the mouse's center of gravity extends over the circumference of the roller and the mouse's feet exert torque onto the roller. This torque offsets the moment of inertia of the roller mouse system and the mouse falls. No other copied trap is this light!! The previous prototypes we tested 2 years ago used ball bearings and increased the weight of the rolling element which required the mouse to lean over the roller in order for the trap to work, thus decreasing the amount of "Mouser Falls" per night. Question:	What do you put in the water in the winter time to keep it from freezing
Answer:	You know, that’s a very good question. I have used mine, which works great, mostly in warmer areas. I haven’t used it in freezing cold yet. I don’t like the idea of using antifreeze, since it is hard to dispose of. I am used to throwing mouse/water into garden. I do have a suggestion though. Years ago I was storing some sand in a white bucket in my unheated garage. After a while I noticed a mouse had fallen in. It seemed dehydrated. I think the sand acted as a desiccant & sort of mummified the mouse. I tossed it in my garden. I would try several inches of sand & see what happens, much easier “cleanup”

Question:	Can you please rush my order? I'm having an issue and can't get these locally
Answer:	It sounds like you are not getting it down quite deep enough. I have that problem also because of rocky soil. I would try to be sure both pairs of scissor jaws have a clear place before setting the trigger. You can use some type of hand spade or other digging tool to rake a slot where the scissor jaws will sit. also make sure after arming the trap that it is sitting parallel with the ground-not tilted. Make sure the trip lever is just resting on the ground or a hair above. I also believe you can increase your odds greatly by setting more than one trap in likely areas in close proximity to one another. Happy hunting.
Question:	What are the actual dimensions? It says 1 x 1 x 1, but that can't be right
Answer:	When the trigger is on the top of the ground and the mole is moving the dirt up it it's the trigger. We have never caught anything with this device. I believe it it to big for moles.

Answer:	I have caught 4 Moles so far but do not have a gophers. This trap works great fine an active tunnel set the trap and end of problem. Caught first one in 3 hours.
