Question:	Will this work for squirrels
Answer:	Yes. It kills pine squirrels. I’ve never had a problem with Gray or fox squirrels so I don’t know if it works on them. But pine squirrels are extremely destructive and failing to live trap them and move them during the summer which I do, when they start moving in in the fall I believe it’s more humane to have them zapped rather then take them somewhere where they have no shelter or food stocked and suffer through a snowy winter. The recent run was attacking the headliner on a new car for nesting material.

Answer:	I love this device and yes to the giant rat. Thought I had squirrels in my wall, put a few of these up in the attic and got seven. Yes seven rats over two days. I checked them twice a day. What I like is the rat is dead in the trap. I just pick up the trap, pour the rat out into bucket (husband gets to empty bucket). And rest. After two days. No more rats. Love these. I have four and use them in my chicken coop, shop and attic. FYI. I live on a farm and the corn, hay, and feed the chickens spread all over are meca mice/rat attractions.

Question:	Anyone had experience with these trapping big rats? Anyone trapped one not fully dead? Are these comparatively fast & more humane
Answer:	As a field mammalogist who has trapped moles for research purposes I can, with confidence, say this particular trap style would be impractical for catching either moles. Mole trapping requires a trap that is actually placed inside the mole's burrow. That, would of course, be impractical with this trap. It is however possible that this MAY work with voles - I can't speak specifically to that case.

Answer:	The batteries in mine lasted three months. I have not had them through zero temperatures and hope we won't get them this year! You need to empty the box EVERY time there is a kill...otherwise you will get maggots. I left mine just one day and had a mess on my hands.

Answer:	I use the gel drops primarily at night.....the gel blurs my vision for a few minutes immediately after use. It is OK to use them in the morning, as well, though. (I do on occasion if my eyes are really dry and scratchy when I get out of bed, but I don't plan on reading or driving for about 10-15 minutes after use.

Question:	Is the "Refill" considered the sidecar to the battery compartment? And when and/or why would I need a refill
Answer:	Bought this yesterday, 3/1/2014, after dealing with an adult red squirrel in my bedroom wall for over a week now. I had an opening in my living room ceiling under my bedroom for plumbing, and placed the trap there vertically wedged with a support last night. This morning the squirrel was dead! First try! Worked great!
Question:	Can this trap be used outside to catch moles
Answer:	Dear MauricePut in on a large piece of cardboard box from the supermarket. If the unit is exposed to damp - say in the woodshed it will arc but it should be dry in your loft. the only consequence of arcing is discharging the batteries quickly.We are on top of a problem now, but our solution with vermin was multifaceted and it is now all under control. Cheese as bait works much better than peanut butter. Replace a 1 cm sq 3mm tall slice each week. the flatter it is, the harder it will be to lift off without touching the plate.

Answer:	If a rodent has not entered the trap, we would recommend trying a new location for the trap, near areas where rodent activity has been noticed. We would also suggest trying a different type of bait to attract the rats to the trap.
