Answer:	I do not know if there are any age requirements but I cannot recommend these as living up to the hype. I wore one to a bonfire on Saturday night and, unfortunately, I have been up for the last four nights with terrible itching from the worst case of mosquito bites I’ve ever had!

Answer:	Instructions are on the box. It comes with a measuring cup, put 25ml in the egg every 2-3 weeks, or as soon as it stops smelling like lemon/citrus.

Answer:	This is in response to the September 24, 2018 answer to this question which claimed that the EWG website lists the ingredients of this product as "highly toxic, cancer-causing". However, that claim appears to be false, and I don't want people to be afraid. It's now August 10, 2020 and I have looked up these two essential oils on the EWG.org website tonight. (Note that I am assuming that this product still has the same ingredients as it is claimed above: geraniol 95% and lemongrass 5%.) First, the geraniol, which is apparently 95% of this formula. The EWG website's entry for geraniol says, "Geraniol is a naturally occurring scent ingredient found in various essential oils such as rose oil and citronella oil." Their score for geraniol is "3". They say that geraniol has NO link to cancer, no link to developmental/reproductive toxicity, but has a high link to allergies and immune system toxicity. The review says that geraniol "is a known human immune system toxicant or allergen". Unfortunately, it does not say whether geraniol is an allergen for some people yet no problem for other people (like many allergens are), or if it's an immune system toxicant for every person. It is listed in the ingredient list of about 400 personal care products on the EWG.org "skin deep" database. The "skin deep" hazard numbers mean the following: "The ingredient hazard score, from 1-10, reflects known and suspected hazards of ingredients. A score of 1-2 indicates a low hazard. A score of 3-6 indicates a moderate hazard. A score of 7-10 indicates a high hazard." So when geraniol gets a score of "3", that actually means that the overall hazard is pretty low. It is somewhatt hard to find personal care products that only score a 1 or a 2 on the EWG "skin deep" database. Certainly, if a person is allergic to geraniol, then it would be definitely off-limits for them to use this product. I don't know how common such an allergy is, but I am allergic myself to a fair few essential oils, including pine, eucalyptus, cedar, etc., so I know that I would need to proceed carefully if I wanted to try any product that contained an essential oil that was new to me. Next, the lemongrass, which is apparently 5% of this formula. It is listed in the database as "CYMBOPOGON (LEMON GRASS) OIL". It gets a score of "1", which means that they found that it was very safe indeed. They say that lemongrass (cymbopogon) has NO link to cancer, no link to developmental/reproductive toxicity, and no link to allergies and immune system toxicity. They say that it is "Classified as not expected to be potentially toxic or harmful". They list about 50 personal care products on their database that have lemongrass as an ingredient.
Question:	Will it work on other flying insects as well? I have several different types flying around in my backyard
Answer:	I used a blend of peppermint and tea tree as a fly repellent. I was using a spray bottle and going out each day to get rid of them. I'm going to get this egg to put my essential oil mixture in because I know it will get rid of the flies. Looking forward to it!

OFF! Botanicals insect repellent spray provides effective protection from mosquitoes, black flies, gnats and no-see-ums. Active ingredient chemically synthesized from pine oil extract. For protection that lasts more than 2 hours, choose a DEET-based repellent. 10% p-Menthane-3,8-diol** **cis/trans isomer ratio: min. 60% (+/-) cis and max. 40% (+/-) trans

Direction To Use

Shake well before using. Hold container 4 to 6 inches from skin and spray with a slow sweeping motion. Do not use as a space spray. Use sufficient repellent to cover exposed skin evenly and completely. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying. For continued protection from listed insects, reapply every 2 hours or after swimming, perspiration, vigorous activity or toweling.

Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use on children under the age of three. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor or going for treatment. Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.
