Sensitivity

Question:	States that jaws open to 18 inches but will hold log of 28 inch diameter. How do you make the jaws grab a 28 incher if the maximum spread is18 inches
Answer:	There are two points on the red arm that can sink into the log. Only one needs to bite the log so the tool can work. Altho most of the logs I handle are less then 28" I have used the tool to lift and/or roll logs that were that size and larger. I have used 3 different styles of log lifters, this is the only one I've used that have never pulled out of a log under load.
Question:	How high does this raise a log off the ground
Answer:	Approximately five and a half inches right at the stand. Keep in mind that the log will be at an angle so the further away from the stand you get the higher off the ground the log will be.

Answer:	Yes, It disassembles quite simply and easily in fact, nice for packing down to fit it in :) Of course you do have to account for the long bar but it's no longer than a standard pickup bed is wide. I am more impressed now having used this a full season, it is a tough tool, I can't break it and I use all tools beyond their limits typically. This thing will do more than it boasts and is now an integral part of my work.

Answer:	I agree with Carroll the tool works well on small logs that are 6 to 8 inches as well as large diameter logs. The tool will close down to 4". I have used mine a lot getting ready for winter and it is a great tool.
