Answer:	Box says China. This is a great induction pot. I suspect that comments made about the bottom not being thick enough to work well for induction is probably a problem with the cooktop and not this pot. I have found that you get what you pay for in induction cooktops.

I find the stockpot is well constructed and conducts heat really well so i operate at lower temp settings when I saute meat or veggies- you want it hot but not too hot
