Question:	How does this lens compare to 100-400mm L? I am trying to decide whether to buy this lens with tele-converter or 100-400L
Answer:	Personally, I would think the 300mm prime lens would be sharper overall compared to a zoom lens. I do not have experience with the 100-400 lens but do like my 300. I have used the 1.4 tele-converter a few times for moon shots and have been pleased.

Answer:	It works with the Kenko DGX (C-AF 2X TELEPLUS PRO 300). Bear in mind you will need good light because the largest aperture will now be 8.0 with the converter attached - but the auto-focus does work and works pretty well in the right conditions (good light and good contrast in picture/background). People who have never tried this combo will tell you it can't work, but it does I can tell you from first hand experience. I use mine mainly for birding in coastal areas where there is good light and contrast. This is the only 2x converter that does work with this lens that I know of.By the way, I use this combo with my Canon T2i, which you probably know is a consumer grade camera, not professional. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The canon 300mm F4 lens would be my choice as the lens to buy for a Canon 70D camera. Here's why. The 300 F4 is a fixed focal length prime lens. It has a fixed F4 aperture which means it has better image quality and will provide more light to your 70D sensor so you can take pix in low light. The 70-300 f4-5.6, on the other hand, is a zoom lens. It has a variable speed aperture that goes from F4 at the short end of the telephoto to f5.6 at the longer focal lengths. So, you may not have enough light at the longer zoom focal lengths to get your 70D to auto focus in low light. That's important if you want to be able shoot wildlife in low light conditions (pre-dawn hours or at dusk). The F300 f4 also accepts 1.4x teleconverters extremely well. That means your 70D won't have any Auto Focus problems when attaching a 1.4x teleconverter to the lens. In a nutshell, you'll be able to extend the reach of the focal length of the 300 F4 lens from 300mm to 672mm on your 70D camera (the 70D has an APS-C sensor with a 1.6x crop factor).Prime lenses, like the 300 F4, will give you much better image quality than a zoom lens. It's faster to focus than the zoom because of the larger aperture, which allows more light to reach your camera sensor, so it can make a picture. Which lens is better for you, however, really depends on your application(s) and how picky you are about image quality and whether or not you intend to photograph wildlife. The 70-300 f4-f5.6 lens will work fine as a general use telephoto zoom lens when it's sunny. If, however, you want to be able to photograph wildlife in low light, then you'll need a lens with more focal length and light since animals often appear in low light. If you want to be able to shoot wildlife pix in low light and have better image quality, then go with the 300 F4. I own the 300 F4 and it's an excellent lens for photographing wildlife, wildflowers and landscapes. The F4 aperture also produces beautiful, silky smooth bokeh backgrounds, which I think you'll find most appealing. Zoom lenses, historically, don't work very well with teleconverters. You'll find that the AF on the 70D will likely want to hunt or may not work at all. Canon lenses need at least an F5.6 aperture to be able to auto focus and, when attaching a 1.4x TC, your camera will also lose 1 full stop. With the 300 F4, you'll still be able to auto focus when using a 1.4x TC. With the 70-300, the auto focus on your 70D will likely hunt or won't work at all because the aperture at the long end of the telephoto will be f8. And f8 won't give the 70D sensor enough light to focus. I've been using the Canon 300 F4 with an attached Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 DGX 1.4x teleconverter with a 7D camera the past few years. The combination gives me a total 672mm focal length reach for photographing wildlife. Works great and the images are sharp as ever. For best image quality, use a camera support (like a bean bag) or a tripod. The lens is a bit heavy on the front end so if you're a small person with small hands, using a camera support will give you much better IQ.

Answer:	Must have sent the same model of their Zephyr that I purchased. Mine were smaller for use indoors only that you plug into the wall oversized night light. They work all the time. I couldn't tell you what time of day is the bugs are flying into it. But there's always quite a few when I empty it

Question:	How long has the zapper lasted for previous buyers ? Mine only lasted 4 months. It doesnt turn on anymore. What do i do now
Answer:	I bought 2. Mine has lasted since the Summer of 2015. One of them had a single bulb working last Summer (2018) but the flies were still just as attracted to it. It's Winter now but I just checked them and all but 1 bulb worked. The bug catcher trays got lost so I use canned pressurized air to blow out the debris (outside, of course) I use them in my garage and shed in the Summer and they work excellently!

Answer:	I would screen your chimney. But yes it will kill them the unit would have to be close to the opening. Note this makes a loud pop when a bug gets in the gris. NOTE: Bugs fly in front of the grid but does not get in it. I took a piece of furnace duct metal, cut a square init with a 1" flange sticking out the back , mounted a small bathroom exhaust fan to it. I then mounted the fan and metal plate to the back of the unit. the fan now sucks the bugs into the grid. Makes a 300 to 400 % improvement in bug kills. ( I should get a sizable royalty from the manufacturer for tilling them how to improve it.)

Answer:	There is a small internal device that acts as a starter to make the bulbs light up. It sounds like that starter has gone bad. Contact Flowtron and send them the unit for repair.

Answer:	I've been using mine indoors for years because I don't really care about the bugs outside... I don't want them in my house. This model whacks bugs day and night. it doesn't stink... the hum is loud. Death to the flying insect.

Answer:	the UV light attracts a ton of bugs at night but day time not so much. The Octenol makes the thing a bug killing fiend but in day time it is lack luster and probably a waste. Every morning it is 100% covered and clogged from mosquitoes and i have to use my data vac to clean it off. I use the 1 acre and 1.5 acre one and both are 100% covered by morning but during the day they hardly kill anything. They work at night well even without the Octenol but it definitely helps to have it. I have terrible mosquitoes here and mine only kills a few so if you are not flooded with them it probably won't do much for you during the day. I have to go outside with bug spray at noon to keep the mosquitoes off -_-

Answer:	Yes I run it 24/7. I have had this zapper for nearly 4 months now and will never do without it during the bug season in Iowa! I have it in the kitchen where the flys and nats love to be. It snaps rather loud when a bug gets in it and that startles people who are not used to it. At night when it is dark the bugs are really drawn to it and eliminated by morning. It has made a huge difference for me as I don't like to use bug spray in the house.
