Answer:	If you are referring to the screw used at the top to tighten the umbrella in place, I believe this is a custom piece. The dimension of threads are as follows: 19/32" OD without thread, 5/8 with thread, screw length ~1.25" (note addition .5 in goes inside the handle. Threads are square cut. Question:	So how is ABS plastic stronger than metal as it says in the description
Answer:	I'm not calling it stronger, but I am calling it more suitable for the application. ABS is very durable, and has more "give" than a steel one. Therefore, if you have your umbrella anchored in an odd angle, rather than putting a dent in the metal version, this would spring back. Also, ABS won't rust like a steel one would after a season at the beach.
Question:	They say "full replacement warranty if any parts break!". Is there a time limit on this? I read 30 days which isn't much of a time frame

Question:	will this hold a 1.5 inch diameter pole
Answer:	I measured the inside diameter of the Beachr and it is exactly 1 1/2 inches. Your pole would most likely fit tightly but you wouldn't be able to tighten the screw very much. My umbrella pole is 1 inch in diameter so there is more room to tighten the screw to the pole. Hope this helps somewhat.

Answer:	You don't have to turn the whole umbrella. The umbrella's pole comes apart. The auger is attached to the bottom half of the pole, and there is a small metal rod that fits thru two holes toward the top of the pole that you use as a handle. You "screw" this part of the pole into the sand and then attach the umbrella with the upper half of the pole. We used ours last summer -- it's really very convenient and sturdy.

Answer:	To the best of my knowledge, no. Virtually all these umbrellas have one height but can be tilted (as shown) to various angles to compensate for the breeze/wind. We have always used umbrellas with more than 8 struts...they are sturdier & last longer. This one is very similar to our previous ones & they all worked well. Note: you always need a deep anchor to secure them in the sand. The short ones don't work for long.

Answer:	Yes you could, and it would work splendidly. I spend a lot of time on the beach and know securing from the wind is often a challenge. These things go for $39.00 a pop down here at our beach shop. That would be some high dollar wind resistance. You generally can get adequate results securing your corners with screw-down gromets and tie downs weighted by sand-filled grocery bags. Cost $0.00.

Answer:	You hammer it down with the green portion of the spike. It creates a hole with sand packed around the spike which keeps it from moving.

Answer:	It doesn't have the metal screw if that's what you're asking, it's nylon/plastic. Looks just like the picture. I LOVE this spike and for 2 summers with lots of use for many, many trips to the beach, it's the best, easiest, and most dependable umbrella set up I've ever used!!! Worth the price because I've paid for several other type's of umbrella screw set ups and they were a waste of money.

Answer:	6.5 feet in diameter when open. It is lightweight and easy to carry. The height depends on how much you screw it into the sand.
Question:	What is the diameter of the hole for the umbrella to go in
Answer:	No - just screw in the bottom section of pole into sand and then attach upper section and lock in and open - very easy!
Question:	i am confused this article brings 3 units or only
Answer:	No. I suppose you could make tiny adjustments by screwing it deeper or shallower into the sand, or by not completely inserting the top half of the umbrella, but the design does not include height adjustment.

This 7 foot Tommy Bahama Beach Umbrella has an aluminum pole with fiberglass ribs. *Caution: Always use sunscreen lotion rated SPF 15 or higher in addition to using an umbrella. Monitor children regularly for sunburn. Sunlight does bounce off sand other reflective surfaces, so some amount of sunlight will reach you even if you are under an umbrella.

Answer:	The poles did not attach into one another. They sent a replacement but the second pole didn’t fit either. I had to return the umbrella

Answer:	No... the screw on the umbrella is ‘wide’ , meant to pull loose sand up and away as it anchors itself deeper. You’ll snap the plastic post if you try to force it into compact ground material. Better to get a canvas fold up chair that has a clamp on umbrella on the arm or back. Good luck... hope your team wins!
