Answer:	More than 7’ depending the stand. Also be prepare for a sturdy and heavy one. The pole it’s aluminum and very thin. it wouldn’t withstand winds more than 7-9 mph. I reinforced mine inserting a 24” PVC pipe (painted black) in he cast iron 26 pounds stand. The screw it’s tide now and even though looks sturdy. The umbrella tills with winds more than 12mph.

Answer:	The difference is it’s not 9 foot all the way around the more ribs you have the more consistent the circle is and the size, when there’s less ribs on a supposedly 9 foot umbrella you end up with 7 1/2 at certain points which Is not what you’re looking for when you’re looking for 9 foot all the way around. So my advice is buy a umbrella with as many ribs as you can get on it to keep this size consistent all the way around

Answer:	I use it like a pole to raise the cover up high enough to put the unzipped cover over the top of the closed umbrella. The zipper string hangs down just far enough to zip the cover shut from the top. Then I store the 3 piece pole inside the main pole in the small gap there. Works perfectly!

Answer:	Only had the umbrella for a short time. But we’ve had intense heat and the umbrella looks fine. I would think for the price and what it’s intended for, it should stand up to the sun. Nothing lasts forever but it wouldn’t hurt to do it I guess.

Answer:	I packed all my stuff in the Jr for 2 wks in the Scandinavian countries this spring. My husband had the regular size. So I would say 'yes". We've been on safari and all we really needed was our camera and binoculars and we really didn't need the binoculars unless you are 'birding'. Travel light and efficient no one will know that you are rotating 3 outfits, or at least the people we have traveled with didn't remember or care.

Question:	Does the canopy angle adjust at all? How do you deal with the late afternoon sun? The base looks like you can only have the pole straight up
Answer:	Thank you for your question. There are 2 main reason for the tilt feature in a beach umbrella. The BUBrella addresses both. First, tilt features are built into beach umbrellas to help with wind resistance. The BUBrella does not need this feature to withstand 35 mph wind. Second, as the sun sets tilting the umbrella helps to shade the setting sun. The beachBUB system uses a different approach to block the rays of the setting sun. Simply tilt the umbrella and base as a single unit. In order to tilt the whole umbrella you first build the base as you normally would making sure that you completely fill and pack the sand as you fill. Insert and open the umbrella. Gently, and with constant pressure, tilt the umbrella into the suns' rays. The umbrella has been tested to tilt up to 45 degrees. When you have blocked the sun all you need to do is re-fill the base if any sand has dribbled out. Also the pyramid shape of the base may become distorted but this will not affect the performance of the base or umbrella.

Answer:	I understand the snark on this question, but the truth is, I have never been able to get an umbrella screwed 18-24" (the safe depth) into the sand by myself. If my husband felt at all emasculated by my choosing this umbrella, he quickly got over it on the first day when his sister's umbrella (screwed into the ground by her 6'2" tall athletic husband) blew out of the sand, knocked me over, and pinned me underneath. Meanwhile, our new BeachBub that we can BOTH put up was rock stable. Moral of the story: Get one regardless of your gender and stop being so sensitive.

Answer:	No, it does not have a velcro strap. I use a small bungee cord to keep it closed although I really don't think it's needed. Great umbrella for the price.

Answer:	It fits but the pole rusted so each time we took it out of the Baja shelf (or it blew out) it left trails of rust spots on our pool coping. Don’t recommend for in pool use.
