Answer:	That is the exact reason I purchased my screen. I don't know if this helps, they still notice and bark at the neighbors, but maybe not as much.

Answer:	I don't think its snow loading characteristics are much different than any other shade fabric. If the supports (joists, rafters or stringers) on the pergola are 6-12" OC and with only a couple inches of snow and a quick thaw it should be OK, but with wider support spacing and/or more or wet snow I think over time it would sag.
Question:	Do the edges of this have any kind of binding? If not, what do you recommend using
Answer:	The edges (long dimension) have a green thread that runs the full length. The ends (short dimension) don't have this thread but do not seem to be fraying so far. As far as fastening, I used metal grommets and they worked well. Used this for side shading on a canopy.
