Answer:	Description says it is made of hemlock wood (similar to pine) with a natural fir finish. The fir finish looks like a very light shade of stain.

Answer:	Rough is a fairly relative term, but the wood feels pretty smooth and well sanded to me. Smooth at least to sit on without discomfort or paint over without much problem. For the price, I highly recommend these chairs

Answer:	If you have a standard height desk, your knees will probably hit unless you 1) raise the desk; and 2) remove the middle drawer.

Answer:	It is the pattern for exactly what you see: A double chair with a table built into the center as one whole unit. We made this one, and now are going to use the same pattern (with some modifications) to make 2 separate chairs. They are comfortable to sit in and have adjusting backs. if you are not comfortable with modifying the patterns, there are other patterns specifically for single chairs.

Answer:	I bought 2 of these, and I painted them. I am sure you can put them out as is, but they will last much longer with a coat or 2 of paint. There was no mention of a table, and they did not come with one. They are sturdy, and beautiful, and you can't beat the price for a wooden adirondak chair. I had 2 previously, and they stayed in the weather and lasted for 7 years!

Answer:	I left something steel on the arm rest, and it did stain. I had to sand it out. White shows dirt easily, but cleans up nicely.

Answer:	We have a lot of rain and water in South Florida. No flooding, but I doubt these chairs would float away easily due to their construction. They are very sturdy and I wouldn’t describe ithem as light weight. The small side table that I also have, may float away with a lot of flooding with moving water.
Question:	What is the seat depth
Answer:	Minimal assembly required. The chair arrives in one piece, folded mostly flat in a cardboard box. Assembly requires unfolding the chair, inserting two plastic pegs (same material as the chair itself), and then using the included allen wrench and stainless screws to complete assembly.
