Question:	So does this microphone only work for iphones or will I be able to use it on an android phone as well
Answer:	It will not. The HDMI is a pass-through, however, the HDMI comes in ... it goes out. I have adjusted the camera resolution and frame rate and confirmed all settings pass through. We have used it with an ATEM switcher and also with eCam live software (without ATEM) with good results. It's kinda surprising how well this worked for our needs considering the extremely low cost.

Answer:	Yes, when you are using the splitter cable on your combo mic/headphone jack, it effectively converts your single port into separate microphone and headphone jack and so it will behave the same as having separate jacks.

Answer:	You'll have to describe more of what this slightly curved piece looks like. It does not sound like something that comes attached to the mic.

Answer:	Any delay you experience will be caused by your computer or settings within your computer. Since this is an analog device, it sends a straight audio signal to the laptop with no processing or delay. This means the mic cannot be the cause of it. Some USB microphones can cause a delay, but that would not apply to this mic.

Answer:	From what I've heard, the snowball does actually sound quite reasonably better. I suppose it'll have to be because of a number of reasons, 1 being that there's a $10-20 diffrence, and that this is marketed as a "Skype mic." I also believe that the blue snowball has wider diversity in colour. The blue snowball also features 3 different "modes" or polar patterns.First being a cardiod setting, a standard pickup pattern in most condenser mics, very handy. Mainly picks out sound in a heart shaped radius in front of the mic. Second setting is a cardiod, 10db pad. Good for loud sources, getting up close to the talent. The third and final setting is the omnidirectional setting. "Omni" meaning more than one, in this instance more than one direction. In this setting, the mic will pic up sound from all directions.doing so will loose some sound quality but maybe useful for recording a board meeting. Overall the blue snowball iCE is a great, compact usb microphone, for the tight budget market, or in other words a blue snowball, minus a few features and cheaper sound quality.
