Answer:	As long as it fits down the chute, it will chip most things. I've found smaller twigs and leaves pass without being chipped or shredded very well. Depending on the size and rigidity of the succulent plant matter, your success will vary. The best luck I've had is with green wood that is between a quarter inch and 1.5 inches. Smaller than that and it seems to be able to pass through the blade slit. Larger than that and it can jam or bog the motor. The dryer woods also tend to be 'dryer/harder' on the blades and motor. I don't imagine succulents will stress the machine, but depending on the thickness and size, you may struggle to get them to cut instead of just pass through the blade slit.
Question:	Both this model and the cj602e have 15a motors but this one can chip larger sticks? what are the differences between this and its cheaper predecessor
Answer:	It shredded some bamboo before it got jammed and I had to remove the blade cover and unjam the chipper. Took me a good 30 minutes to figure why it wouod turn on for 10 seconds before it shut down.

Answer:	You MUST read the description to make sure it comes with a charger. Some of them do not! make sure your final order states "comes with battery and charger!" I purchased an additional battery with a longer running time. It is a great blower. I love it!

Question:	I had a load of wood chips delivered from a tree service and those chips are kind of large. Will this chip those chips down to a smaller size
Answer:	Page 9 of the engine manual shows SAE 30 for temps from 50 to 100+F but it probably won't make any difference since 10w - 30 will be the same once warmed up. The manual actually calls for 15w - 40 for most of the temp range but again any difference will not be significant with your average temps.

Question:	I just bought a few acres with thousands of 1 inch diameter "weed" trees on it. Can I run this for several hours a day every day
Answer:	The owners manual for the engine says to add fuel stabilizer if an ethanol blend is used. Like everything else it's all made in China. This is only useful for the smallest branches and twigs, I used it for 2" or smaller oak and manzanita branches and the cutters dulled quickly. Pine branches with needles clogged it up quickly. There's an access panel to get to the blades to sharpen them but you still need to take it apart to get them completely off. I'm thinking about sending it back.
Question:	Manual recommends sae 30 oil, but this page recommends 10w-30 - which is correct? average temp here is 50-90 degrees fahrenheit
Answer:	What you see is what you get. The white plastic insert comes out and you plug in your extension cord. This machine is a beast. It will "devour" a pile of freshly (day old) cut shrubs in a short time. I "processed" a pile of trimmed crape myrtles 12'x12'x4' in less than 2 hours. I chip/shred into a kids plastic swimming pool and then shovel the results into a single 50 gallon bag that weighed nearly 50 lbs. The "beast" never clogged or stopped running the entire 2 hours.
Question:	So oil is not included. how much oil is needed
Answer:	Terrible. I purchased it for that reason; I wanted a sturdy, toothed shredder, not one of those glorified string trimmers. However, the feed throat is only 5"x1 1/4", large enough for about five leaves at a time. And those leaves I did feed through the machine came out the discharge chute slightly mangled, but certainly not shredded. I set it in the back of the shed, sadder but wiser, and bought a Toro 51621 UltraPlus shredder vac. Emptying the bag is a hassle, but it really sucks up the leaves, and pulverizes them. If you can handle the leaf dust, it would make quick work of your leaves using it without the bag.

You can hit the reset switch too for good measure. Now with the (3), it rarely jams due to its "squirrel wheel" design. When you look into the hopper, it is as if your are viewing the top of a "squirrel wheel." The material is pulled to the right and then crushed inbetween the wheel and a counter plate. (3) slows down as it processes the bigger pieces of material, but rarely, if ever, stops. Also, you always have the option of reversing the wheel, which spits everything back up/out. It is not perfect. Occasionally, a branch gets cut into an awkward size due to a protruding limb that gets snapped in half...and just rattles around in there. A stick and patience and time usually solves this, but every once in a blue moon, you have to turn off the machine, disconnect the power, and go fishing with a metal hanger. The chunks from (3) are much larger than (2), and often not as clean looking due to the tremendous efficiency of the guillotine like action of (2). The shear number of times that you spend unjamming (2), makes it a much less efficient use of your time. Let's face it, most of us do not love yardwork. We do it because it has to be done. We don't want it to take any longer than it has to... as we have other things to do with our time. So, spend the few extra bucks and get (3). The work will get done, it will look almost as good as (2), and you can get on with your life.

Answer:	No electric start.

Answer:	The chute has a cover that works well and the main hopper has a slide gate to close it off.. Both work great for the suction portion of the machine

Question:	Can it shred foam
Answer:	I have the 14 amp and was looking at this 15 amp to replace it. Yes it is obnoxiously irritate-the-neighbors (and even myself) loud. But after moving to Florida with mostly sand for a garden, I've come to consider yard waste a valuable resource. So despite being obnoxiously loud, I use it. :)
Question:	Can it shred succulents
Answer:	I have yet to have it jam up. That being said, the opening to feed in material is rather small. As long as you are feeding in material no larger than the opening, you should have no problems. I have also found it works better on small branches than on leaves. It takes some effort to not only feed leave in, but to get them through the cutter. I put a stone in the hopper that I did not see in some leaves and had to take it apart and flip the blades to the other side. Blades are reversible (2 cutting surfaces) and it is really easy to open it up. Keep the stones out and it will chip away for a long time. The chips are rather small in my opinion. They are similar to chainsaw chips.
Question:	Can the earthwise gs70015 15-amp electric garden chipper/shredder shred bamboo

Answer:	I would say that the smaller and weaker the branches are, the less efficient this pole saw is. However I have used it to cut and prune back a mugo pine which has pretty flimsy branches which are short, also willow branches

Answer:	Sun Joe SWJ802E motor is rated at 6.5 Amps at 120 volt, thus running requirement is 780 watts (The conversion of Amps to Watts at fixed voltage is governed by the equation Watts = Amps x Volts). 780 watts would be running requirements, the starting requirement would be 20% above running requirement or 936 watts. Any generator capable of supplying 936 watts or above @ 120 volts should be adequate.

Answer:	The Sun Joe leaf mulcher/shreader is manufactured in New Jersey.
Question:	I have a very large yard. What's the maximum length and size outdoor extension cord(s) I can use with this shredder without burning out the motor
Answer:	My extension cord is 50 feet long, 2 25s connected together. The current rating is for when the device is mulching, not just spinning, which in my experience if you are doing it alone is about 75% of the time. The risk is not in burning out the motor because of the cord, the risk is overheating the cord. If you are not overloading the motor, it should last, like mine has. Before you buy a heavy (hard to use) 14 or 12 gauge wire, try the 16 Gauge and feel the wire after 30 minutes of use, if it is warm or hot then you will need to use the higher gauge wire. Note: this device has two design flaws, the legs, no matter how you tighten them tend to slide down during use; and it is difficult to keep a paper leaf bag secured under the device, I use large rubber bands (garbage can size), the elastic band on the device doesn't work for paper bags.
Question:	Can I use the Birtish 230 Volt supply for this device
Answer:	I'm assuming the questionnaire means standard British 230 Volts. I'm not sure what would result as the motor is meant for standard U.S. 115 Volts so 230 Volts may over-speed the motor. Would suggest that a transformer be used to step down to 115 Volts.
Question:	Are the lines easy to replace? About how long do they last
Answer:	The lines are very easy to replace. The interval between changes depends on the material you are shredding. We just concluded our fall shred-a-thon - 32x55 gallon garbage bags stuffed with mostly maple and some oak leaves. There are very few sticks or twigs in our leaves, so we don't ever break a line. Over time they do wear, and when they shorten an inch or so, I put in new ones. I think I changed strings 3 times, mostly when grinding the oak leaves as they are tougher than the maple. Changing takes just a couple minutes and you can do it with gloves on!
