Answer:	I have used ours on very thick Bermuda grass. It was a struggle but I went slowly and carefully. I have also been careful to keep it mowed down sense getting this mower and it seems to handle it better. Bermuda grass is always difficult to mow. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It doesn't need to be. It's lighter and easier to use than my previous combustion-engine self-propelled mower. The electric mower and lightweight design mean I can easily push this with one hand, despite my arthritis.

Answer:	Taken from reviews: "I have had my Moe Joe over a year now and it is still going strong despite being left out in the weather and otherwise abused. The Mow Joe is a good product but it is being sabotaged by Amazon and unfairly reviewed for two reasons:1. The Mow Joe 14" has a 12 amp motor. Amazon is bundling it with a 16 gauge extension cord, despite the fact the manual states that for extension cord lengths under 100ft, a 14 gauge cord is required. For lengths of 100ft or more a 12 gauge cord is required (gauges work backward so a smaller gauge is a thicker wire). Trying to pull 12 amps of power through a little 16 gauge 100ft cord will burn out any electric motor pretty quick. That is why all these reviews complaining about the motor dying after a few weeks bother me. Either through ignorance or cheapness people use an under rated extension cord and blame it on the mower. Answer:	Under the mower where the blade is it is metal. The top where the battery is has a plastic cover. I love my mower, once you learn how to mow with a corded mower it's super nice and easy to start!

Answer:	The manual says for +50ft - 100ft use a 12guage. That's what I use and it seems to work fine. If you havre to go more than 100 ft I would use a 10.
Question:	It is not self propelled. Is it still easy to push even for a senior? Lawn has a couple of up and down spots
Answer:	It depends on the person, but I think it is very easy to push. The large back wheels help, and it is much lighter than a gas powered mower.
Question:	How does it work in mulcher mode? Does it cause formation of thatch
Answer:	In mulcher mode, you remove the rear bagger and all the clippings are continually chopped up within the chamber. I've been using a Sun Joe for 3 years, and have never seen a thatch layer form. Even in the thicker parts, the chopped up grass decomposes quickly and disappears. I use it to mulch up the leaves in the fall, and by spring you can't see anything remaining. So I think that the pieces are small enough to break down fast.

Question:	Does it cut well pulling it backwards instead of turning the mower
Answer:	I believe so. I cut going forward then back instead of turning because my lawn is small. I never had a bad cut with this mower.
Question:	I live in the Mid-Atlantic region of the country & wondered how the mower would last if stored outside in my shed. How is it affected by rain, snow, cold? Will it start right up next spring
Answer:	I also live in Western Washington and left my mower in a lean-to type shed and it did not age well. Not only did the electronic parts degrade but the plastic parts also degraded. I suggest keeping in the most climate controlled space you can.
Question:	extension cord
Answer:	You should never have more than a 5% voltage drop over the length of an extension cord. Given that this is a 10-amp device, for performance, cord durability, and most importantly, safety, you should have a 16 gauge cord for 50ft (4.2%, 5 volt drop), and 12 gauge cord for 100ft (3.3%, 4 volt drop) and 150ft (4.9%, 5.9 volt drop). Always err on the side of a larger cord (smaller gauge number is larger) when dealing with electricity, even though such cords are typically more expensive. $10-$20 can be the difference between working/broken equipment or something catching on fire. Be careful about someone using a 16 gauge cord under acceptable conditions, but then adding an extension and causing problems.
Question:	I charged it 2 straight days and it wouldnt start! Did i get a dud
Answer:	This mower can be selected as a corded electric 10 amp or as a 40 volt cordless mower. Please look at the entire sale page before making rude and unhelpful comments. To answer this question, if you ordered the 40 volt cordless mower, then yes, you did get a dud. If you ordered the electric 10 amp then there is no battery to charge.
