| Answer: | It appears to. However it works differently than the original charger. With the old charger you charged the battery, after use, until fully charged, then disconnected the charger. The old charger had no charge controller inside it. It was just a transformer and rectifier. The new charger has it's own controller internally. This internal controller "fights" with the trimmers internal controller, to a degree. I've found that if I leave the charger continually connected the battery, then the battery is eventually charged. It takes longer. An ordinary regulated 15VDC power supply would work like the old charger. |
