Question:	Mine came missing the main shaft, who do I contact to to get one sent to me
Answer:	I’d call the manufacturer. Mine came with one bolt that was the wrong size. I called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement out in 2 days. Did your shipping box have any holes in it? The shaft is just a straight rod. It would be pretty easy for it to slip out of the box if there were a hole in one end.
Question:	can anyone that has had this for a few seasons tell me how well it is holding up from a durability standpoint. Any input is appreciated
Answer:	I have had mine about 2 years now, used it for 5 large pieces of land, some a little bumpy, but mostly flat. Works great with 3 8x8x16 cinder-blocks strapped in for weight. I think it works great and seems to be quite durable. Like someone else said, clear the mud and small rocks from the knives, clean it, keep it inside if you can, it should last for years. Wear gloves to assemble or you'll surely bleed. Sharp knives. Then you'll want to sharpen them up for the next season. Like the product. Glad I bought it.

Answer:	No they would need to pull it with some motorixed something ... Lawnmower, four wheeler, or something else. Could not be used by pulling it by hand ..!!!

Answer:	Brinly has a page in their owners manual on how to determine the flow setting control for various grass seeds and fertilizers. They also describe alternative flow control settings not based upon the chart provided. I used both charts on weed and feed, rye grass, and regular 10-10-10 fertilizer and was very pleased with the results. It is an awesome product for the price. My only complaint is the manual lift which needs more length for easier lift leverage.

Question:	Is this useful to use on bare clay soil to create holes then fill with organic soil to amend the soil for future planting
Answer:	Our soil is clay-like and it worked quite well. I aerated 2-3 days after a heavy rain and the plugs mostly didn't stick. IF they did, the tool to remove them works well, but make sure you get all of the dirt/clay smudging the sides of the "tines." Otherwise it will plug back up. I probably should have waited an extra day or two so the soil was drier and less prone to sticking. I do recommend using only two of the four tines at the beginning. The manufacturer recommends only using 4 tines for healthy lawns. Once the holes are made, you can fill them with organic soil, compost, or whatever you want to amend the soil. This does make big holes, not like the tines on a pitch fork. .
Question:	distance between tines, side to side? I generally want holes every three inches (76 mm
Answer:	The side-to-side distance is about 7.75 inches. You can achieve about three inches or even smaller spacing by yawing the aerator sideways each time. The two wheels will allow you to yaw or move the aerator easily. The front-to-back distance, if both tines are used, is 3.75 inches. We recommend using both sets of tines in very moist soil only.

Question:	How much does the aerator weigh
Answer:	You have to buy a separate adapter (4.5V) to operate the unit (like the Hosa Cable ACD477 Universal AC Power Supply or the Velleman PSSMV1USA 3-12Vdc Switching Power Supply, both sold by Amazon). The reason I recommend these two is you will need an adapter that uses a single plug instead of the ones that have 3 or 4 plugs around the connector end as the ac input port is very close to the headphone port and the two plugs may interfere with each other. If I may insert a bit of advice, Brian - this item did not work well for me. Sometimes skipping in the songs or not recognizing the cd at all. Also, it would stop right in the middle of a song and just shut off. I would not recommend this cd player. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Don't know about electronic shock protection. I have had this CD player for a number of months & has never skipped. I had 2 Memorex's CD player which were terrible and threw them out. Have not played audiobooks on it, so don't know that. I have this played plugged into wall socket, so don't have to waste batteries. I have pillow sleep speakers attached to it for music to sleep by.
