Answer:	You should not have to re-position the tool once you get it mounted correctly. Remove it from the bar and make sure you can advance the chain manually. Then re-attach it according to the instructions. After you sharpen a tooth, grasp the chain with a gloved hand and advance it toward the end of the bar until the next tooth (on the same side) is in position.

Step 1

• Inspect your chain for damage and locate the cutter with the most damage as your starting point
• Identify the proper filing angle for your chain- you can find this information in the Sure Sharp manual or by lining up the angle adjustment guide with the chassis of the chain

• Plug your Sure Sharp into your car’s power outlet or attach the clips to your car battery adapter in the engine compartment
• Select the appropriate grinding stone for your chain and place it in the collet
• While holding the button down, tighten collet by hand using your thumb and index finger
• Use the wrench to tighten the grinding stone to ensure it’s securely fastened in the collet

Step 3

• When grinding, don't hold the tool in one location - work it back and forth along the cutter for even wear on the grinding stone and to avoid creating "hot-spots”
• Evenly sharpen both the left and right hand cutters, ensuring you remove all the damage so that it'll hold the edge

Question:	is this the correct sharpener for my stihl ms201t
Answer:	It's a 3/8" pitch. If you look on the side of your chain it usually is printed / engraved into the side of the chain link, what pitch your chain is. You may have a different pitch to your chain so check there but I do believe stihl makes this tool in a couple different pitches. Also , you can buy different pitch chains for the same saw so it's not really model specific. I'm sure your saw has a manufacturer recommended pitch for that saw but like I said, just look at the side of the chain links to figure out what you have.
