Answer:	If its 3/8 with .050 pitch it will. It doesn't know if its on a stihl product or not.

Answer:	3/8Pico use a 4mm (5/32") file. 3/8 use a 5.2mm (13/64") file.
Question:	How do you rotate the round file to expose different file teeth? I can rotate one side but not the other
Answer:	This tool is directional, just follow the arrows on the handles. The round files will only go in both directions. You can put them in backwards, but you will immediately notice that half of the file teeth are missing. Hence their in backwards, so just flip them around. I go one direction for one set of teeth then rotate the tool end to end and file the other direction.

Getting a solid fit of the handle on the files is not an issue with our wood handle. All you have to do is place the file in the hole, place the file on a flat surface with the handle pointing up and give the handle a nice tap and it will be nice and secure. The kit’s individual built-in compartments allow you to quickly find and access the tools you need to sharpen your saw chain and guide bar, while the heavy-duty plastic case, featuring easy sliding locks, helps securely store and protect your tools while in the field.

Step 1

• Utilize the Stump Vise to create a makeshift "work bench" by driving the forks into the stump. Then lock the jaw to secure the bar.
• Place the File Guide over the cutter with the file in the gullet (between the cutter and the depth gauge). Make sure the file guide has two points of contact, one point of contact on the cutter top plate and two on the depth gauge.

Step 2

• Using the file, hold it in the correct location so that 1/5", or 20%, of the file’s diameter is positioned above the cutter’s top plate.
• Sharpen using steady, even strokes to remove the damage while counting the number of file strokes.
• File back to remove damage and keep top plates equal in length.

Step 3

• Recheck depth gauges.
• After every third or fourth saw chain sharpening, check the height of the saw chain depth gauges by placing the Depth Gauge Tool on the saw chain cutters near the midpoint of the chainsaw guide bar.
• If a saw chain depth gauge extends above the slot in the Depth Gauge Tool, file it until it is level with the Tool.
• File the leading edge of the depth gauges until they are round.

Step 4

• Locate the chain tension adjustments. Using the scrench, turn the adjustment screw "clockwise" to tighten, "counterclockwise" to loosen your tensioning pin.
• Utilize the Felling Wedge to keep the tree from pinching your newly sharpened chainsaw.

Answer:	There is only one file. The package also contains a handle and a guide. I did not know the discription said there are 2 files. I will try to get Amazon to change the discription.

2. Clamp your chainsaw securely with the clamp centered on the bar to allow the saw chain to rotate freely while inspecting the chain for any damaged or links and teeth that may be overly worn or weakened.

3. Before placing the file in the notch on the front of the cutter, which is the 'angled tooth' on the front end of the flat surface of the chain link, mark the cutter to achieve an even sharpen on each section.

Answer:	That is what I use, 5/16. If you look on the chain box it will tell what size of file to use.

Answer:	Your usability will vary, but I estimate 12 to 15 sharpening. You can tell when it starts to get dull. If you use a file holder, turn the file a 1/4 turn after each use.
