Answer:	If it makes the snapping sound and you can return it - do so. You have the old version an the updated version (with identical SKU) has fixed this problem which eventually causes breakage.having to return the whole thing when it breaks is really bad customer service since we know simpleHuman knows this is an issue, as they discontinued the design that gives that ungodly "CRACK" when you lower outer lid after changing bags or locking it open for food prep.

Question:	Does this have a removable inner plastic liner
Answer:	Yes, but there is a trick to it. Open the lid with the foot pedal, like normal, then let it start to close. At about halfway closed lift the lid with your hand and viola it stays completely open, giving full access to pull the cans out and empty easily.
Question:	Does this can have the extra trash bag holder inside
Answer:	I did not look for a larger size. I needed this size to fit in a specific location with the pedal in the front.
Question:	Does the lid stay open if you want it to even after taking your foot off the pedal
Answer:	I can send you measurements. But I do not recommend this. U can have mine. I have two. Not enough space to hold much trash or recycle. We end up taking the bags out less than halfway full.
Question:	Does this have a plastic liner
Answer:	Each compartment is 25 liters, or 6.6 gallons.
