If you try to cut off thick branches from the top, without a shallow undercut, the branch may splinter. Do not force pole saw. The motor will overload and can burn out.

Answer:	My impression is the "40v" battery is closer to an actual voltmeter 36v output (it says so on the battery.) If the 36v battery from Oregon fits in the battery slot and powers up the motor you are good to go. Since the chainsaw speed is controlled by the trigger it makes little difference there.

Answer:	No. It comes with the saw mounted on the pole and that whole assembly is fastened to the motor with screws. FYI: It's a good saw. The chain they supply is aggressive and I have been surprised at how long the battery lasts... I trimmed a couple of pretty good size trees with it and still had half a battery left. Same with their chainsaw.

Answer:	You need the PH1400 powerhead to make this work. It comes as a separate unit (PH1400) or in the powerhead, string trimmer, 5.0Ah battery and charger kit (MST1501) or the powerhead, string trimmer, edger, 5.0Ah battery and charger kit (MHC1502).
Question:	If the chain locks up during cut does the battery drop out? kill the charge? or is there a clutch
Answer:	Ego sometimes puts packages together to attract buyers, you just have to shop around. I found the EGO Power+ Power Head with edger attachment for $149.00. I also saw the Power Head and weed eater as a combo.
Question:	Husqvarna is known for a battery degradation in a short period of time. WHY
