BUY AN ECHO 2 CYCLE ENGINE PIECE OF EQUIPMENTAnd here's why:I purchased a DOLMAR "4 Cycle" PB-7601.4 Blower made by MAKITA that uses REGULAR GAS and OIL 2 years ago. NO mixing oil and gas anymore!!!! I am thrilled with it and I love it. This is basically your "4 cycle" lawn mower engine in a blower form piece of equipment. It's GREAT!!!!ECHO needs to get with the program and manufacture a "4 cycle" blower that does NOT require the mixing of gas and oil. If they ever do I will return to them for a purchase.Unfortunately, I am ending my 25 year relationship with ECHO. I purchased my very first leaf blower from ECHO in 1987, a PB-4500 for $400.00. It was the top of the line commercial backpack blower at that time. It was a wonderful machine that lasted 21 years (yes, 21 years) with NO problems when it developed a small oil leak and I thought why not upgrade to a new ECHO model. BTW in 1988 I sold my old PB-4500 for $200.00 to a landscaper who also loved the ECHO brand and yes, I did tell him about the oil leak but he didn't care. He just loved the old ECHO blowers and now I know why.On 11/28/2007 I purchased a brand new ECHO PB-755H top of the line blower model and initially was very happy with my purchase BUT about 6 months in it was choking out and had NO power so I took it in to an ECHO certified service dealer only to find out that the repair (a carburetor adjustment) was NOT covered by the 5 year consumer warranty and cost about $50 to repair. I was not happy but paid my $50 and was hoping that the issue was resolved. It was NOT! I ended up taking this PB-755H back two more times and I thought I had purchased a lemon machine so I paid for the 3rd time to have the carburetor adjusted and I sold the blower.On 8/27/11 I purchased another brand new ECHO PB-770H top of the line blower model and once again I was happy initially but within a year it was choking out and would NOT start at all so again I took it in to the ECHO certified service dealer only to find out that the repair (a carburetor adjustment) again was NOT covered by the 5 year consumer warranty. Given all the trouble I had had in the past the dealer DID adjust the carburetor at NO charge this time. I sold it yesterday 12/6/12 and explained all of the following precautions.From the start, I had spoken to ECHO USA directly on several occasions about my issues. I was told that the new 2 cycle engines "gummed up" easily, which meant they would NOT run after period of time. I was told to always use the freshest highest premium gas I could find. Never use gas that was more than a week old or improperly stored. Finally I was told to use TRU FUEL50 which is a pre-mixed 50:1 ratio fuel you can buy in most Home Depot. Here's the rub, it cost $22 per gallon for the fuel. I will admit it did seem to work well but $22 a gallon for fuel? Answer:	No there is not but I use my old one from my Stihl BG56. Just twist the blower tube off, slide the gutter cleaning tube in and it just fits inside and can't blow out. But tube back on and you have a backpack gutter blower. A little rigged but works great. And you don't need 2 blowers!

Answer:	Mine sucked up wet leaves no problem. We even had an early snow and when I sucked a pile of leaves I had snow in the bag. No problem at all!

Answer:	No, the connections and chargers are different for the 2 systems. Needless to say the owners of earlier 40v batteries are not happy but the new g-max batteries store more power which is a step in the right direction...
Question:	What is the process from changing the device from blowing to vacuum? Do you only need to change attachments or is there more involved
Answer:	To use as a blower, you have the blower tube installed and the intake gate closed. To use as a vacuum, you put the bag on in place of the blower tube and install the mulch tubes in place of the intake gate. So no, nothing more is needed.
Question:	How does this blower compare to the Toro 51609, which costs one fourth as much? Toro has tons of great reviews, more power, and a metal mulch blade
Answer:	I have both. Toro 51609 is more powerful and has a metal mulch blade like you said. The only one reason I got G-MAX DigiPro is because it's cordless.
Question:	Is the sweeper function the same as a blower? If not, what is the purpose of this function
Answer:	The Sweeper is a vacuum function. It is for light use only, which means it works best sucking up small leaves and debris (orange tree size leaves at most). Not recommended to suck up twigs and large size leaves. If you do, you will be taking apart the bag and tube to dislodge leaves and twigs entangled in the vac a few times during use. I use a screw driver/small probe to dislodge the debris. I've used it on grass lawns and flower beds to remove leaves with no real issues. I've had my 40 volt vac for over 5 years and can't live without it. It is also a useful tool to remove leaves from planters with medium size gravel or river rocks (it will not pick up the gravel). I also recommend vacuuming small amounts of leaves at a time instead of in bunches to avoid clogging the vac. Despite the small inconvenience of unclogging the vac, I couldn't do without it, it beats blowing the leaves, gathering them and then picking them up. Great tool for small jobs.

Answer:	A cloth bag comes with it. It is NON disposable. You empty it when it's full.

Answer:	Yes. Keep in mind like I did when I bought it. Amazon and other distributors have two prices listed for the B&D blower/vac. The lower price (under 100 dollars) does not have battery and charger and the higher priced blower/vac (140 dollar item) does have everything.
Question:	How long will it vacuum with a full charge
Answer:	I could vacuum my courtyard around 2 times before I had to charge it. It didn't take long to charge.

Question:	What is the warranty
Answer:	I use 100' 14/3 outdoor extension cord. I have a fairly large backyard. With 100' I am able to reach all the corners of my yard. Any longer cord you have to increase the wire gauge from 14 to 12. Ask for help at your local home supply store. The longer the cord the lower the wire gauge.

Answer:	Dear Amazon Customer, You have two different openings, when you are using the vacuum model you set it up as the picture is showing, when you need the blower mode you need to remove the bag and place the blower tubes where the bag goes, remove the vacuum tubes and close the lid.
