Answer:	Perhaps this is not the right question to ask, rather, how many re-charges before the battery dies. Mine lasted just a few months. I purchased a different brand rather than roll the dice with another one of these.

Answer:	The battery take's about 8hrs to charge the first time. After that it charges very quickly and last a long time. I have two batteries so I can switch when one dies. Amp hour rating depends on how much you use it! Google it! I love these batteries!!!

Answer:	We went thru 4 of these batteries. We called the Ryobi folks and had our receipts and reported that each new battery failed after only a few uses. They would no longer recharge. The Ryobi people were not very pleasant and denied having a lot of lemons but when we checked the Internet we found many reported problems with these batteries. If your tool is still under warranty they will ask for the product number and will send you a new one. This fifth one seems to be ok. Good luck. We are no longer buying Ryobi products and have switched to the Ego line and they have been great so far.

Answer:	I have had many 18 volt Ryobi batteries over the past 12 years, and only 1 battery failed within the warranty period. Since I had registered the battery online with RyobiTools, my local Home Depot filled out the paperwork for a brand new replacement battery which was shipped directly to my home. At the time I had my battery replaced, a few years ago, RyobiTools would only warranty batteries sold by Home Depot, not by third parties. These 40 volt batteries come with a 3 year warranty, and RyobiTools states they will replace it with a new battery if it fails within the warranty period. If you decided to get a Ryobi battery from a non Home Depot seller, I suggest you contact RyobiTools online and verify that the warranty will be honored, because, as far as I know, you still have to do the exchange/replacement at a local Home Depot store.
