Answer:	You must be using B&Dbranded wimp batteries and the cheap charger that comes with the standard units. There are much better third party batteries for the B&D products on Amazon, plus the B&D supercharger is well worth the extra price. The supercharger will charge the third party batteries in about an hour, and you can charge a second battery while you are using the first. That said, I rarely use up the first battery even when I switch it from a task like string trimming to using the blower for clean-up. Admittedly, though, that is because I am a female senior, and my own battery runs out after about an hour--requiring a long rest-stop.

Answer:	It is close to 10 pounds and worst of all, very unbalanced with most of the weight towards the front, where the motor and blade are. Since it does not have a mid tube "handle" like other long reach and pole trimmers do gas and electric, it is very difficult and tiresome to balance. I returned mine and instead bought a 40 volt Ryoby, which can use several attachments, such as string trimmer, edger, pole chain saw and the pole hedge trimmer I needed. Oh, and besides, for some reason they are shipping them with an underpowered, super slow. meager battery charger instead of the faster charger and when I tested mine it actually took over 7 hours to charge the 20 volt battery, whereas my Ryobi 40 volt charges in less than 90 minutes from a full discharge. Answer:	This unit does not have an "on" lock. It has a safety button that allows you to pull a trigger to start cutting. Once you release the trigger, you have to again press the release button to pull the trigger. This is a safety device.

Answer:	wiggle the bottom half till it goes in farther; has to click on two holes that aren't too far in; yes, the umbilical/phone cord thing seems to be in the way.

Answer:	This works much better than the bulk and weight of hedge trimmer attachment on a gas trimmer (Much quieter and less vibration, too) and WAY BETTER than standard hand-held short blade electric trimmer and ladder. This is my fourth pole-mounted hedge trimmer (previously, 2 homelite and a Black&Decker) and this is by far the best. I have 14 cypress trees to trim (each nearly 20 feet high), with very limited space to access. My previous pole-mounted trimmer was just a wee bit too short, so I needed a ladder anyway, and the trigger was at the far end when extended, so awkward to keep in reach. The Sun Joe has better placement of the extension relative to the trigger, so easier for a more relaxed reach and grip. The shoulder strap is not so much helpful in the tight quarters I have to work in, but useful for some other junipers I have to trim. I highly recommend the Sun Joe over any other. I chose the corded version vs. the cordless-mostly because it is a 5-6 hour process and I did not want to run out of charge or have to keep extra batteries on hand. If you have less to trim, the cordless may be okay, but either one is good.

Answer:	Perhaps 5 - 7 lbs. I did not put it on a scale. However please keep in mind that if you extend the trimmer out to ten feet your hands are now the fulcrum. This extension imbalances the trimmer and it feels heavier because of the extension leverage. I loved this product. I had no problem trimming my 25’ hedge on a ladder. You must work directly above yourself to handle the the 10’ extension. If you try to manage it laterally it is more difficult to manage. Good luck.
