Answer:	I don't touch my 20" gas saw anymore if that tells you anything. I carry a canvas bag with extra batteries. When the chain is sharp, I can cut up a lot of wood before the 5.0 batteries need changing.
Question:	What size file do I need to sharpen the chain
Answer:	I use 3/16" file = 4.78mm rather than a 5/32" = 3.96mm i was taught many years ago by a hand sharpener to use the next size up from what the chain manufactuer recommends. this gives you a better cut. Put your saw in a vise so you can properly sharpen the blade. The first filing will be tough because there isnt much room to fit the file but change your angle to get the file thru and then work it back to the correct angle. these blade have angle marks to follow with your file.
Question:	Are these the same 18v batteries used with the makita lithium ion cordless drill? thanks
Answer:	The batteries are a higher capacity version (5.0 Ah) of the batteries typically sold with their drill/drivers and work well in their other tools. It's one of the reasons I purchased the saw . I have a Makita Drill and Driver and one of those batteries had gone bad. With this saw, I am back to having three good batteries and I often use the 5.0 Ah batteries with the other tools

Answer:	I wanted to do the same, but the "Find a Part" function on Oregon's website indicates the Makita UC4051A uses Oregon A041 tail mount bars. The longest A041 bars Oregon have at present are 18" long, e.g., the P/N 540394 low-kickback bar and chain combination.

Answer:	1 metal, 1 nylon. Just replaced the nylon, lasted 4-5 yrs "hard" service. Took about an hour to replace, cost was about $4.50.

User questions & answers

Question:	how long do the batteries last
Answer:	That would be difficult to answer and the only valid answer would require using it continuously. I take to many breaks or the saw is off while I pick up what I have cut.
Question:	I have a similar saw from Ryobi that leaks chain oil if I leave the reservoir filled overnight. Does this saw have the same issue
Answer:	My saw is still new. So far, I haven't seen any oil leaks. However, I have three older Stihl saws that do occasionally leak oil. There are steps that make oil leaks manageable: keep the area under the chain drive cover meticulously clean, store the saw on some easily discarded cardboard that will absorb minor leaks, allow the saw to cool before storing.
Question:	Does it overload easily? My 18V will overload and stop pretty easily were as the dewalt keeps cutting due to lower gearing
Answer:	It is 2-3 times the saw conpaired to the 18v one it’s no gas saw but it works really good in my opinion. Great for using at my chipper to cut stuff smaller to fit don’t ha e to start it and worry about putting a hot saw in the weeds and starting a fire
