User questions & answers
Question: | How does the 2500 compare to the 1000 series |
Answer: | If it takes a cartridge then yes I believe it will. I looked up the Targa 585 classic fountain pen n youtube and that model was a bottle ink refill. I looked on ebay and saw a Targa 585 classic that was being sold with script ink cartridges. So if the pen takes an ink cartridge Sheaffer ink cartridges should work with your sheaffer Targa 585 classic fountain pen. Hope this helps |
Question: | Japan product or where |
Answer: | This ink is water soluble, but will stain clothing. I use it a every day. It will wash off hard surfaces and skin but I accidentally put my pen in my shirt pocket one day without the cap. Most of the ink washed out but left a visible stain |
Question: | Will this handle 30# power pro? Using it for pike fishin |
Answer: | Not sure about "all" pens but I purchased these to use with a Sheaffer pen purchased many years ago (before computers). The refills work with the "old" pen and also with a calligraphy pen I purchased recently. No problems with either pen. Joe |
Question: | Why does my syncopate 4000 has Malaysia written on the tab that connects to the rod? I really hope that does not mean it was made in Malaysia |
Answer: | Noodler's, Private Reserve, Organics Studio are American companies that will sell you any color of the rainbow and even invisible ink. Diamine, Pelikan, Skrip and Quink are European made inks also readiliby available from Amazon and other on-line sellers. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this reel have anti reverse |
Answer: | being aluminum and a casting it is hard to say.what i would do is secure it in a vice with cardboard wrapped around the arm so you do not mar the arm.see if you can tap it with a piece of wood and a hammer.a little at a time.if it snaps off go to ace hardware and buy some pc7 epoxy,it is a 2 part epoxy that mixes like clay,it will not run and is thick.grind the ends to a point and fill in with pc7.you can smooth it with a wet finger.you may need to hold it in place with tape at each end of the reel seat.it takes 24 hours to dry and can be sanded and painted,i have used this to repair a cracked block.hope this helps. |
Question: | Does this reel have anti reverse |
Answer: | I perfer one piece rods. Ugly sticks make a lot of good heavy Rods that work well with this reel. I have an ugly stick with one and a Shimano rod with another. The ugly stick is about 6'6" and the other one is a lil over 7' |
Question: | Does it come with line |
Answer: | The "bait runner" feature of this reel lets you live line or drift bait with a light drag. The tension on this drag system is independent of the main drag and is controlled by a knob at the back of the reel. The "auto return" feature refers to the ability of the reel to switch to your main drag setting with a slight turn of the handle or the flip of a switch, also located at the rear of the reel. |
Question: | Would this be a good reel for crappie and maybe bass |
Answer: | Yes these reels are very durable. we have caught probably over a thousand salmon with them and they never fail. They also make the best downrigger reels. |

Answer: | There are three sizes (1000, 2500 and 4000) that I am aware of. Not certain of which is the 2500, perhaps the middle item as listed? Not great work by the vendors I'm sorry to say..... |
Question: | there is a selection of 4 sizes. which is the |
Answer: | Actually there are only 3 types,,, the 1000, 2500,, and 4000,,, the 2500 is the medium size |
Question: | As this only gives me the line capacity, which one is the sr1000fg reel? I think it is the the one that carries the 2 pound 270 yards, is this right |
Answer: | Yes than is the correct one. The description on Amazon is lacking. I googled the info when I ordered and now also to make sure I was correct. Places differ on stats but what ever the smallest one listed is will be the 1000 as that's the smallest one the make. |
Question: | This product is the spirex sr4000fg |
Answer: | This listing is for 3 different reels. You have to select from the drop down menu. The bottom one called medium light says in the description that it is the 4000. The first selection appears to be the 2000 and the middle selection is the 1000.Hope that helps, the drop down labels suck. |
