Answer:	No, this unit does not have a thermostat. It's manually controlled. You turn it on/off and adjust the temperature by hand.

Answer:	As Dan mentioned your home should already be regulated at the gas meter which gets regulated before your home. One good way to check - if you have a natural gas stove or boiler check to see if they are piped directly from your home piping gas line or does it go through a regulator then into your appliance. Most homes in the US are set up this way. This is something that can be done rather easy you should be able to connect it yourself. However if your unsure or don’t feel comfortable than you should seek the help of someone that can.
Question:	I installed this unit and the small screen above the heating area getting very hot and is melting a bit in a few places. Is this supposed to happen
Answer:	I can't find one. They operate on normal home gas pressure which sources say is 1/4--60 psi. I have the Blue Grass Living (blue flame) 10,000 btu heater. It operates to perfection, and it burns so cleanly! If you ever lose electrical power, these heaters will keep right on heating!! A lot of words here; hope they help....

Answer:	I own the 20000 BTU unit has a pilot that is manually lit by piezo. Pilot can be turned off when heating not needed. I can't speak for the rest but suspect they work the same way.

Question:	Heater is not igniting. What do you recommend
Answer:	We had similar experience at first, then carefully reviewed pages 12 and 13 of the user manual. Also, the instructions on the decal on the post outline lighting steps to be taken. The last option could be a stuck valve within the propane tank. Completely remove the tank and gently tap on ground to dislodge the stuck valve. Then reconnect and follow lighting instructions. This is a very attractive and enjoyable heater. Especially with a mug of gluhwein!

How to Change the Gas Tank

Fully close the tank valve by turning clockwise then turn the coupling nut counterclockwise until the regulator assembly detaches. Remove the empty gas tank out of the body of the heater. Ensure the regulator switch is off before inserting it to the valve outlet. Push the regulator down into the gas valve. Hand-tighten the coupling nut clockwise until it comes to a full stop. Firmly tighten by hand only.

Note: The propane gas and cylinder are sold separately.

Answer:	Just opened mine and the "cautions" and "general instructions" are rather adamant about saying: DO NOT INSTALL ABOVE 5,200 feet. Our EX22CP also said it was good at high altitude, but that manual under Specifications says it is for installation at altitudes up to 10,200 feet. Here in Western Colorado, folks in our valley's wouldn't be able to use this. We're at 8'000 feet, so I guess it is going back. REALLY disappointing.

Question:	How are the fumes vented ? I don't understand how you can burn something and not have to worry about carbon monoxide
Answer:	The fumes are not vented. Natural gas is mostly H₂, gasoline is about 50% carbon, coal is all carbon. So being mostly H₂, the combustion products are mostly H₂O with a little CO₂, not unlike what we breath out. Coal and gasoline will asphyxiate you fairly quickly because of the high carbon content, which must be vented outside.

Question:	is an external 2 stage regulator for the 30,000 BTU unit necessary
Answer:	For propane or natural gas? If you're putting in a new propane tank yourself, then you will have to install one. If you have natural gas, the regulator should already be out by the meter. And if you ALREADY have propane, the regulator is probably outside right where the propane line comes into the house. So, if you're unsure, just check with your supplier or utility company.
Question:	Do the unit get physically hot to the touch
Answer:	To my surprise it does not get hot to touch Not even the top
Question:	It says no electricity needed on product information. And in other information it says 120 volts . What gives? Does it come with a plug in attached
Answer:	it does come with a cord to plug into a 120v wall outlet. the cord only operates the blower fan, it will work and heat without being plugged in if you want to use the fan it will need plugged in. hope that helps
Question:	Can the unit be mounted to the ceiling facing straight down or does it have to be mounted upright to a wall

Question:	How many hours will one full tank run with this unit on medium setting
Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	can this be used on a covered porch or screen porch
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.
Question:	I admire everyone who has been able to get this thing started. The unit doesn't allow you to push in the knob once it hits Hi. Help please
Answer:	Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall.
