Answer:	I think so, they are threads on the whole lenght though, so I think it's more what you see around the other lenses, from the filter threads till the glass let's say. So I can't say for certain if you can screw a filter there. You can however do it on the lens when you remove the hood. In other words, I don't see why you would need a filter on the removable hood, even if you want to put into water, at the distance of the focal point, it's probably not usefull there.

Answer:	It won’t create the white dust if you use filtered water or distilled water.

Answer:	Please dont buy this. Mine stopped working in about 3 months. Its junk. It may have an auto shut off does not matter as it will shut off forever soon after you buy it.

Answer:	It hums a little, but it's more of a gental white noise then loud and obnoxious. If you are a light sleeper, I would not put it bedside, but on the opposite end of room should be fine when sleeping.

Answer:	It's not easy to clean the inside of the tank. You'll need a round flexible brush that can be bent. You can't fit your hand into the far side and around the mist exhaust. It's impossible even with baby hands. I do like this model and even bought another one.

Question:	how many hours does it operate on tank of water
Answer:	On a full tank around 7-8 hours at half the use of mist. You can adjust the amount of mist it will dispense. The main issue is the amount of oil it will use. I filled up the tank (small separate tank) with oil and in one night the oil was completely gone. Another mister I bought on Amazon uses less water and you can mix the oil with the water and use only a few drops at a time and it works well. Hope this helps.

Question:	Should the fragrance bottle be filled or just partially filled will work
Answer:	I never used the fragrance bottle as it did not give off enough aroma. I just put 2-3 drops right into the water.
Question:	Can you use a vicks menthol liquid in the diffuser part for when you're sick
Answer:	No because there is no place for it, it's cool mist so doesn't evaporate the Vicks lqd & the shape of the unit also discourages it. I find this is a pretty good though expensive humidifier but the diffuser portion dies not work at all. It's a cheap plastic thing with a paper wick that u are supposed to stick in the bottom of the unit. Did not work at all.

Question:	How hard is it to clean
Answer:	I figured out a SUPER easy way to clean the bottom of the tank if you have hard water like I do. It got scummy at the bottom of the tank. I ran the humidifier on a 50/50 white vinegar/water solution. Then put a paper towel in the tank and about an 2 inches of water. I shook it side to side like a washing machine basically, slowly draining water out while I did it. The shaking process took about a minute, and the scum was entirely gone when I was done :) Then I just shook the paper towel around so I could grab it out. Amazing!
Question:	Can you add eucalyptus oil to the water
Answer:	They recommend that you do not, it can gum up the internal filter. I suggest you put a bowl of water, with the oil nearby, instead.

Question:	Have had this unit just one night and one day, there is no mist at all only some cool air and very little of that. It is on the highest setting
Answer:	Make sure the water unit is completely cinched in the base. If its a little off you can get results as not getting any mist or it leaks everywhere. I have had it over a year now and I have experienced these kinds of things but it was only do to the connection to the base. Hope that helps. I love it so much I want to get another one.
Question:	I have a cool mist Vick's machine and it's full of black mold in areas i can't get to. Does this come apart completely for cleaning? is it cool mist
Answer:	I had a problem with this design. See the "crown" part of the chimney? I thought I had been cleaning it but there was mold building up in the "nozzle" until it clogged (I washed it every day). It narrows and there's no way you can get to the top flared inside lip. When I tried to get the "clog" out (with a coathanger), it was so...beyond ...disgusting.What the heck had we been breathing in??? GROSS. I"m considering using my current chimney or without a chimney at all. Wish they had fixed the design. I hate cleaning these things and then finding gross corners (like some coffee machines).

Answer:	Where is it leaking from? I had noticed once when I had it set on the highest setting it seemed to have leaked over night, but it was probably from an overfill or not tightening the cap enough. It hasn't done again since and i use it quite often. Check those things and if it still leaks return to manufacturer.
