| Answer: | Yes, the bottom of this bag is really sturdy. I've been using mine for probably 6 months as my main purse. I just looked at my bag and the bottom isn't warn much at all despite the fact that I often plop it down on the floor. My complaint is the structure of the top of the bag is such that the top caves in, folding over to the spot where fabric handles attach (below the edge like a couple inches) so it kind of impedes access to the interior side pockets. I have considered sewing the handles to the top of the bag so the zipper top is forced to stay up and not flop inward. It could have been a better design, in fact I didn't even realize there was a pocket in the very top edge because of the way the top of the tote flops. The rest of the bag is really well made. I wanted a bag I could use for the ton of junk I have to drag around taking care of family as a caregiver. Some people may not like the lack of structure- it occurs to me it could have some built in boning to keep it's shape- up the sides and along the top. But it's not that kind of bag, it's a soft tote and very pretty. |

I can now roll this around my deck and under my canopy without any problems. Since it is radiant heat, the area above the heater doesn't get very hot or pose a threat. |

It sits 3 feet from the wood frame of a 12' barn style door with no problem. I tossed a scrap of white cardboard on top of the umbrella this morning. After 6 hours, running on highest setting, the cardboard was discolored brown but never ignited. The top of the umbrella measures 280F with my laser thermometer. Hope this helps? |
