Answer: I don't think so; I connected two of the 3/8 inch systems for use on my rabbit hutches, and those state that you can connect them. The 1/4" does not. I gave the 1/4" system to a friend, so don't have it to look at. Sorry. I did get some questions answered last year by going to the Orbit web site and reading some of their stuff.

Answer: Yes it can be used indoors, but that is not recommended by Coleman (for liability reasons). This is no more (or less) dangerous than a natural gas stove top in the home. (And perhaps 30% of homes in the USA have a natural gas stove top rather than an electric coil or electric induction stove top). Natural gas and liquid propane gas are always odorized so you can smell unburned gas, or a gas leak. That would be the primary additional danger in terms of using it inside, installing and removing LP fuel bottles. When I do that, sometimes the seals are poor, and the valves sticky on the bottles, and you can hear gas hissing out of the bottle until you get it all the way cranked (screwed) down into the regulator. So, I would say you could use it inside, but I would change the fuel bottles outside, or on the balcony in an apartment, just realize the inherent risk of using gas inside (carbon dioxide). But again, you have this EXACT SAME risk if you have a home with a natural gas stove and oven that is not externally vented (about 1/3 of installation are not externally vented).

Answer: bobb... you're correct, those are threads, and it's made to thread into a standard 10-32" threaded adapter on a riser but you can also just push it into a 1/4" drip line. The threads don't work as a barb... it's the flared piece right above those threads that's the barb. If you don't push it in far enough it can work loose.

Answer: You can turn the knob to a total stop. Take note that while you are at the minimum opening, water flows like a drip. Not spray or mist as described. When you turn all the way up, it acts like a mini power washer. It doesn't even spread. I requested to return mine .

Answer: They can be used but the short plastic extension tube cannot be serviced that I know of. I started with the 3/8 tubing but it became a huge pain. Kept springing leaks. Set up with the PVC if you can, well worth it. I even painted mine. Be sure to drain the system if it freezes where you are.

Answer: Twisting them will not turn off the nozzle. As Frank said, they will unscrew so you can remove them for cleaning. I’d recommend you turn off the system before you remove the nozzle, though.

Answer: It does not come in the pvc pipe. These are only connectors that will connect to pvc pipe. They do sell mister sets that come with the pvc pipe included. We bought a complete set originally. After moving and wanting to put misters up again we purchased these connectors and purchased 1/2" pvc pipe. I hope this is helpful.

Answer: Bob, the mist rate all depends on the dynamic pressure of your system, so it's hard to give a specific answer without more information. Here are two examples of common water pressures, so it should at least give you some idea of what to expect in your system. A system with a dynamic pressure of 60 PSI will push out about .035 GPM per nozzle, while a system with dynamic pressure of 40 PSI will push out about .03 GPM per nozzle.

Answer: First of all, I use these to water hanging baskets outside. The size of the water droplets depends on how you adjust the small knob on the side. You get the smallest drops by opening the small valve all the way. That also delivers the most water; so I don't know how that would affect mushrooms. Hope this helps.

Answer: It comes as a complete assembly as shown. It should get connected in your run of 1/4" tubing. Cut your tubing in frooont of your plant or shrub. Insert a tee connection to continue run. On the tee connection put a piece of directional tubing of proper length to your shrub connecting the assembly to the other end of the directional tubing.
